Glendale Lodge #368 MaY 2017 ““Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence.” - Wor. Bro. George Washington Brothers, Please accept your editors humble apologies for the lack of an April issue. We are back on track and will be bringing you more and better newsletters in the future. April in Review: April was Public Schools Month and Glendale upheld its 44 year long commitment to Glendale Unified School District by honoring the teachers and staff with the peer recognition awards at the annual televised event, as pictured above. In addition, we were recognized by R.D. White Elementary and The GUSD as a whole, with hand made thank you cards from the children for the books and bookshelves we donated. We are currently working to ensure we can do even more for our local public schools. On a more somber note, April also marked the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide which, by special dispensation from Grand Lodge, and in keeping with a tradition of these past few years, we led a procession at the Montebello genocide memorial. We were joined this year by our Inspector, Ashik, as well as the Grand Lodge of Russia, and were captured placing our wreath by the local newspaper. Ending with a happier note, we initiated brother Boris Grigoryan into our lodge. Make sure to welcome him the next time you see our newest entered Apprentice Mason. Upcoming Events: Please join us at our next Stated Meeting on May 2nd at 6:30pm for dinner, followed by Lodge at 7:30. Tuesday, May 16 th at 7:30pm we will be hosting a presentation by Masonic Outreach Services. Please come to lodge to support those who support our brothers who need our help, and to learn more about the many facets of care which we provide for Masons and their families. We will be hosting an Officers School of Instruction on the 2 nd degree May 25 th at 7:30pm as well as visiting Burbank for the 3 rd degree on June 22 nd . We look forward to demonstrating a flawless degree for our district. Officers, please remember that your attendance is mandatory at all OSI’s. All Brothers of the appropriate degree are welcome and encouraged to come learn about the proper execution of our ritual and support the Lodge.

““Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence.” - Wor. Bro. George Washington

Brothers,

Please accept your editors humble apologies for the lack of an April issue. We are back on track and will be bringing you more

and better newsletters in the future.

April in Review:

April was Public Schools Month and Glendale upheld its 44 year long commitment to Glendale Unified School

District by honoring the teachers and staff with the peer recognition awards at the annual televised event, as pictured above. In

addition, we were recognized by R.D. White Elementary and The GUSD as a whole, with hand made thank you cards from the

children for the books and bookshelves we donated. We are currently working to ensure we can do even more for our local

public schools.

On a more somber note, April also marked the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide which, by special

dispensation from Grand Lodge, and in keeping with a tradition of these past few years, we led a procession at the Montebello

genocide memorial. We were joined this year by our Inspector, Ashik, as well as the Grand Lodge of Russia, and were captured

placing our wreath by the local newspaper.

Ending with a happier note, we initiated brother Boris Grigoryan into our lodge. Make sure to welcome him the next

time you see our newest entered Apprentice Mason.

Upcoming Events:

Please join us at our next Stated Meeting on May 2nd at 6:30pm for dinner, followed by Lodge at 7:30.

Tuesday, May 16th at 7:30pm we will be hosting a presentation by Masonic Outreach Services. Please

come to lodge to support those who support our brothers who need our help, and to learn more about the many

facets of care which we provide for Masons and their families.

We will be hosting an Officers School of Instruction on the 2nd degree May 25th at 7:30pm as well as

visiting Burbank for the 3rd degree on June 22nd. We look forward to demonstrating a flawless degree for our district.

Officers, please remember that your attendance is mandatory at all OSI’s. All Brothers of the appropriate degree are
