President’s Update
It has been my pleasure to serve as your Oklahoma Business Roundtable Chairman for 2018-
2019.
Our stated mission, “Business Leadership Advancing Oklahoma’s Economy,” has provided
many successful outcomes this year. We continue to have strong membership, a focused pro-
gram of work and an outstanding board of directors from across Oklahoma who are leading
our effort. We are the state’s primary economic development “support” organization, provid-
ing vital private funding to assist our Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Commerce Department
and our many statewide partners.
Creating quality jobs and growing Oklahoma’s economy is our priority. We address this by supporting dozens
of business expansion, recruitment, start-up and workforce development activities. Projects include trade and
investment missions; marketing Oklahoma globally; hosting prospects, site location consultants and dignitar-
ies; economic development strategic planning efforts; and sponsoring special business development events.
Oklahoma’s economy continues to perform well, and we continue to make a difference. So far in the first 9
months of this fiscal year, our state’s leaders, the Commerce Department and partner communities have
worked directly on projects that will create over 7,100 new jobs and over $1.5 billion in private sector invest-
ment. Over 80% of the new projected jobs will pay in excess of $50,000.
We continue to appreciate our many member companies and organizations all working to help grow the state’s
economy. While there are several challenges ahead of us, we do know that Oklahoma must continue to diver-
sify and be marketed nationally and globally through export and foreign direct investment and domestic attrac-
tion activities.

ness-to-business manufacturing networking sessions (to spur supplier growth); targeted marketing and promo-
tion events in aerospace and unmanned systems, biotechnology, energy and weather; entrepreneur and STEM
education to grow our technology workforce pipeline; and much more.
In February we hosted a special economic briefing by RSM Chief Economist Joseph Brusuelas We had a
great turnout and received a comprehensive global and U.S. economic forecast.
Please mark your calendar for our next annual meeting on June 12, 4:30-6:00pm, followed by a networking
reception, 6:00-7:00pm, at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. Governor Stitt and Commerce Secretary
Sean Kouplen will bring us an update on their business expansion and development plans in an interactive
“conversation” format with our members.
Your sustained support of the Roundtable is vital to our state’s economic development efforts. Membership
renewals will be sent in June and we are looking forward to your continued participation as we support the
work of the new administration and work directly with our many partner companies and communities.
Again, let me applaud the excellent work done by our Board of Directors. They have my special thanks for
their commitment to executing the Roundtable’s important mission.
Sincerely,
Bill Anoatubby, Chairman
