WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL CHAIR AND TPC CHAIRS
We are privileged and honored to warmly welcome you to the 13th Global Symposium on Millimeter-Waves &THz (in short, GSMM 2021) and the fabulous Nanjing city. This is the second time that GSMM 2021 is held in Nanjing since its inception in 2008 in Nanjing, China.
The GSMM2021 was eshtablished for researchers, engineers and practitioners to present and discuss recent breakthroughs, innovations and emerging techniques in field of millimeter-wave and terahertz sensing and communications. Following the success of first GSMM 2021 event, Nanjing, China (2008), Sendai, Japan (2009), Seoul, South Korea (2010), Espoo, Finland (2011), Harbin, China (2012), Sendai, Japan (2013), Seoul, South Korea (2014), Montreal, Canada (2015) and Espoo, Finland (2016), Hongkong, China(2017), Colorado, America(2018) and Sendai. Japan(2019). The 13th GSMM 2021 is held at Nanjing, a most vibrant city with historical and cultural glory, located at the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone next to Shanghai with world-class electronic industry and research centers.
This Symposium will feature round 122 presentations during the three-day event, and the presentations cover a wide spectrum of topics ranging in millimeter-wave and terahertz sensing and communications.
Your valued presence and contributions to the GSMM 2021 has made the event a good networking platform for exchanging of ideas and innovations.

GSMM2021 Registration is now open. Those who intend to participate the the Global Symposium on Millimeter-Waves &THz (GSMM), including speakers, session chairs, committee members, etc., are required to register for the conference.
Author Early bird registration: Take advantage of the early bird registration and pay your fees before 30 April, 2021. On-site Registration will be available at the Registration Desk at the conference venue during the conference.
For an instant release of the conference program, the presenting authors of the accepted papers must complete their Early Bird Registration for the conference by 30 April, 2021, with all the payments completed.

1. For an instant release of the conference program, the presenting authors of the accepted papers must complete their Early Bird Registration for the conference by April 30, 2021, with all the payments completed.
2. Online participation ONLY for overseas participants.
3. Participants of Mainland China should attend the conference onsite.
4. GSMM 2021 will NOLY arrange oral presentation, not poster presentation.
5. The fee does NOT include other cost such as accommodation, travel and transportation.
6. The fee includes essay collection (U disk), welcome party, lunches, coffee break and conference banquet. But please note that the online participant registration fee ONLY includes electronic essays, NO U disk, welcome party, lunch, dinner, etc.
All authors should be aware that accepted papers must be presented at the conference in order to be included in the final proceedings of GSMM2021. Furthermore, as required by the IEEE, papers will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore unless they have been performed a valid presentation at the conference. A valid presentation should consist of: (1) the IEEE E-copyright (2) registering at least 1 author of the paper, and (3) presenting the paper at the conference. .

LANGUAGE
The official language for the Conference is English. However, in the city public places, Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese are commonly spoken.
VISA
Every non-Chinese citizen must have a visa issued by Chinese Embassy or Consulate abroad to enter China. Application for the visa should be submitted to the Chinese Embassy in your country. You can apply for the visa as a tourist; the application process may be simple and easy, and the visa may be valid for 30 days for each stay within China. CURRENCY AND CREDIT CARDS China’s currency is RMB with its monetary unit of Chinese Yuan. The exchange rate is about 1 USD for 6-7 Chinese Yuan. ONLY RMB in cash is acceptable at the conference registration desk. This is also the case in most shopping centers and hotels. Credit cards, VISA, Master and American Express, are acceptable in most large hotels and malls.
TAX AND TIP
All the shopping prices or receipts are tax included. Tipping is not a Chinese custom; so do not tip a waiter/waitress or a taxi driver and any other person who provides regular services. Do bargain hard when you buy merchandise on the streets or in the free markets.

In China, the standard power outlets provide AC of 220 V/50 Hz. The standard for Chinese plugs and sockets is set out in GB 2099.1–2008 and GB 1002–2008. A standard socket on a wall in China has two pins on the upper part and earthed three pins on the lower part as shown the figure below.
TAXI
Usually, a taxi is available along the roadsides and you can wave for it. However, on main streets, it is only available at taxi stops or in front of a hotel. Tipping is not a Chinese custom; so do not tip a taxi driver.

Oral Presentation
Prepare Your Presentation Each oral presentation is limited to 15 minutes including questions and answers. Length of presentation material should be in accordance to your time allotted. You are requested to load your Power Point presentation materials before the session starts.
Determine Your Audio Visual Needs All meeting rooms are equipped with the following audio-visual equipment: 1-LCD Projector 1-Windows-based PC 1-Screen 1-Laser Pointer
The computers in the meeting rooms are being provided to Windows-based PC users. The PC will be configured with Microsoft Windows operating system as well as with Microsoft Office. Give Your Presentation Be considerate of the other speakers and audience by staying within your allocated time. The allocated time for your presentation includes a discussion and changeover to the next speaker. Session Chairs will hold you to the allotted time. This is essential to ensure adequate time for questions and discussion as well as adherence to the schedule. Please discuss the same materials as reported in your paper submission.
Please store your presentation material to the computer before the session starting. At the end of the meeting, all presentation files will be destroyed.
