From the Pastor’s Desk
Many thanks to Doreen Gulledge and all who helped to plan and facilitate our wonderful Organ and Violin Concert last weekend. About 125 people gathered to hear the magnificent sound of our Hook (1861) Organ. Daniel Lamoureux (organist) and Brian Clague (violinist) presented musical selections, some familiar and some new, for our enjoyment. Now we are thinking that this could become an annual Easter Season celebration.
During this month of May we pray especially for the children of our parish who will receive the Eucharist for the first time (at three different masses on the weekends). We also look forward to next weekend’s Morning Retreat Program: Aging Well and Growing Spiritually (details below).
Aging Well and Growing Spiritually A Morning of Reflection and Prayer Saturday, May 9, 8:45 a.m. - Noon St. Peter Parish Center
What contributes to our aging well and growing spiritually? Our Catholic tradition offers a way that is also recommended by the psychological sciences: cultivate the capacity for gratitude and forgiveness. During a morning of reflection and prayer, Dr. Bob Weber, a psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, will encourage participants to cultivate these qualities. Please call or email Bob Flaherty to let us you will be attending: 617-547-4235 x16; [email protected]
