We are incorporated into God's mighty acts of salvation and given new birth through water and the Spirit. All this is God's gift, offered to us without price. The Explorer’s Class begins a new series this morning on prayer. This 3-week series is based on Marjorie Suchocki’s book, In God’s Presence. This study will present a new way of looking at prayer that may shake all your assumptions and help you deal with problems you have with prayer in your daily life. Jane Baker will lead this study. 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Room. Study materials will be furnished for reading between sessions.

The Connie Reading Circle meets on Thursday, May 10, at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Sally Jarus, 480-792-1297. Blanche Berreman will review The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, from the Nurturing for Community category of the UMW Reading Program.

UMOM Volunteers - We need volunteers to help with UMOM Homeless

UMOM Project - When United Methodist Men visited UMOM last month, our guide told us of their desire to add an altar to the chapel as they seek the funding for a full-time chaplain. Brown Bag Lunch - Come join us for Brown Bag Lunch every Tuesday at noon. Bring your own lunch and socialize with people from the church. We always have a good time. Come and be a part of this fun group.

Connections is a Dayspring mission that advocates for the intrinsic worth of all persons, regardless of their sexual orientation. It offers support to and education about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons and their families. It also hosts the Tempe PFLAG group meeting each first Friday of the month. Our clergy can provide names of “Connections” members for you to contact.
