Dominican RepublicDominican Republic is a beautiful country situated in the Caribbean Sea in Central America. The country shares an island with Haiti, it has around 48 000 sqkm and 10 million people. On this island was the first settlement in the New World after Christopher Columbus discovered America. The country was a colony of Spain which makes it a Spanish speaking country with a Latin culture but with its special touch of course…

Dominican Republic is a country known as a good tourism destination with nice resorts and beautiful beaches but this country has much more to offer than only this. In DR you have the chance to discover merengue, salsa, Dominican Spanish, carritos, the nicest resorts and the poorest neighborhoods, water sports, biodiversity, empanadas, sancocho, Caribbean rum, colmados, kindness and joyfulness of people, and much, much more… Dominican Republic is a country where everything is possible, welcome to Wonderland!

AIESEC in the Dominican Republic

AIESEC in the Dominican Republic was founded in 1987 as an extension of AIESEC Puerto Rico and in 1988 it became an independent entity. During its 24 years of existence AIESEC DR has gone through good times and bad times. During the last years it has faced difficult challenges and the term 2010-2011 was the time to build up the basis of the organization again. Now this term it is the chance to take a big step forward for AIESEC DR and to start performing!

AIESEC DR has two local committees: one in APEC university in Santo Domingo and the other one in PUCMM university in Santiago. There is also one extension in PUCMM university in Santo Domingo.
