Be Thou my Vision, 2/5One day every tongue will confessYou are God.One day every knee will bow.Still the greatest treasure remains for those,Who gladly choose you now.

Heavenly Father,we have sinned against you and against our neighbour, in thought and word and deed,through negligence, through weakness,through our own deliberate fault;by what we have done and by what we have failed to do.

We are truly sorry and repent of all our sins.For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ who died for us, forgive us all that is past; and grant that we may serve you in newness of life to the glory of your name. Amen.

Almighty God, who forgives all who truly repent,have mercy on us, pardon and deliver us from all our sins, confirm and strengthen us in all goodness,and keep us in eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord, your son.Amen

Jesus walks on the waterMatthew 14:22-33

22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. 23 After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone. 24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves.

25 About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!” 27 But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!”

28 Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” 29 “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.

31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?” 32 When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped. 33 Then the disciples worshiped him. “You really are the Son of God!” they exclaimed.

COMMUNION

HOLY COMMUNION

COMMUNIONLord Jesus Christ, our redeemer, on the night before you died you came to table with your friends. Taking bread, you gave thanks, broke it and gave it to them saying,Take, eat: this is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.

Lord Jesus, we bless you:you are the bread of life.

COMMUNIONAt the end of supper you took the cup of wine, gave thanks, and said, Drink this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins; do this in remembrance of me.

Lord Jesus, we bless you:you are the true vine.

COMMUNIONThe bread which we breakis a sharing in the body of Christ.

We being many are one body,for we all share in the one bread.

This do in

remembrance of Me

Our Father, who art in

heaven, hallowed be thy

name;

thy kingdom come;

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in

heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.And forgive us our trespasses,as we forgive those that trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation;but deliver us from evil.For thine is the kingdom,the power, and the glory,for ever and ever.Amen.
