We developed new tracking tools that allowed the MC had a better control of the accountability of the whole country. I was responsible for the development of the new financial model of the country that allowed us to have a fair MC Fee and will stimulate growth.

AIESECMexico/ITAMVice-president for

Business Development

July – December 2010

Led a team of 6 in a new area in the organization to accomplish personal approach to partners and new ways of generating revenue. Executed 2 events where we built on the relationship with 20 companies and signed 4 contracts.

AIESEC Mexico – MCNational Account

Manager for Telefónica Movistar

Sept. 2009 – June 2010

Present candidates for the company for internships in it, and administer the legal and immigration procedures for them with the INM. Manage the processes of quality satisfying the needs of company and intern. The company became the biggest TN Taker in AIESEC Mexico and was the main income generator of the National Office.

AIESEC Mexico/ITAM Vice-president for External Relations

July 2009 – June 2010

I led a team of 9 volunteers to generate partnerships with 4 companies, which resulted in income of 450,000.00 pesos and 8 new vacant places for AIESEC members of the world (near 200% growth). We signed contract with 6 companies. We built up to #2 LC in the country.

AIESEC Mexico/ITAM External Relations

Sept. 2008 - June 2009The area developed 5 new products and we achieved three new companies for GCDP Programme.

•  Rank the 3 (three) main areas where you have had the most experience. Highlight briefly your experience and results in each. Please provide: Area; Key Activities Performed; Results Achieved

“leadership is inspiring people to BELIEVE WHAT YOU BELIEVE”

My experience in External Relations and as a National Account Manager allows me to understand the sale, matching, legal and servicing process. Also I know the importance of a correct delivery to the TN Taker and the trainee to provide the best possible experience.

• As VP ER I learn the importance of the sale process, because my team of 9 volunteers generated new partnerships with 4 companies, which resulted in income of 450,000.00 pesos and 8 new vacant places for AIESEC members of the world (near 200% growth), but the matching and servicing process where not the best.

• When I acquired the role of NAM of Telefónica Movistar my biggest challenge was the matching and servicing process with the company for internships in it, and learn and dominate the legal and immigration procedures for them with the INM. The company became the biggest TN Taker in AIESEC Mexico and was the main income generator of the National Office.

• As MCVP ER I learn that professionalism in the ER work is one of the most important things one should focus and the key element to generate confidence with the stakeholders.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS

BD/ALUMNIWhat I learned as VP BD is to dream big and plan great. During my term the team organized the biggest networking and business event of the LC History and we made the Alumni relevant and active participants of our Local Committee. The relations with Alumni increase and improved, because the most important thing of the relationships with Alumni is to listen and support on them.I led a team of 6 in a new area in the organization to accomplish personal approach to partners and new ways.

1.Why are you applying for MCP 2014-2015?

A world without injustice or discrimination, where the people has the same opportunities to develop themselves, and create the World of Tomorrow, where the BIG Dreams of young people become real and where impactful experiences allows young people to create a positive impact. AIESEC is not just an organization is a WAY OF LIFE. AIESEC is about PEOPLE, AIESEC is not just a platform to develop skills or how to do things is about learning and teaching values and makes you a better person not just for yourself, but for the people around you.I want to work to create the opportunity to other people to live what I had lived and become the solution of the problems of the society in a pro-active way, where the World of Tomorrow is made of the dreams of today.

Furthermore, AIESEC for me has been the best experience in my life, it allows me to know people from different states, countries and continents; develop my skills and directly impact hundreds of people. The main reason of my application for MCP is that I’m convinced in the impact of the Organization and I feel ready to lead AIESEC in Mexico to the next level and developed all the Local Committees and members to create the biggest impact in the History of our Country.

2.What will be your contribution and what do you expect to learn from the experience?

Let’s go, may not excuses now, THE MOMENT IS HERE AND NOW!!! Let’s GO … It’s not about what you done it’s about what you doing, it’s all about were you going and not about where you been!!!! Let’s GO! My contribution for AIESEC in Mexico next term will be to make the country to be the most IMPACTFUL entity in the network, because WE ARE SO MUCH MORE and we just need to UNLEASH the LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCES we promise to EP’s, TN Takers, members, etc. Imagine what we can do together in what minute, now imagine what we can do in ONE YEAR, where +2000 members work aligned to take this country to the next level and to make the DREAM of young people come true… CHANGE THE WORLD.

My contribution will be to change the mindset to think BIGGER and create confidence in the National and Global Plenary that AIESEC in Mexico will provide the change we want to see in the world! I expect to learn every minute of the term of the experiences we live together and from the knowledge every member of the organization may share with me.

3.What is leadership for you? Describe one of your strengths in team management and provide a specific example on how you have demonstrated this strength. How will this help you become a great MCP?

Because AIESEC is the platform where you find people that have certain values and attitudes different from the average young people and for me Leadership is inspire people to BELIVE WHAT YOU BELIEVE! Our organization is very powerful, because “We are young, we are strong, we are not looking from where we belong…. We are not cool, we are free… We can make it better; turn it upside down … WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD! Leadership is the ability in which the leader encourages and influences others to perform a shared mission to create and contribute to achieve something amazing. I think my strongest strength in team management is to unite them to achieve huge results and the members of the

team become such close to each other that they became friends for life. The tangible example of this strength is my EB Team 2012, because till now almost after a year we work together, they are still united and they are a Band of Brothers for LIFE!

The example I provide will help me to become a great MCP, because I will not only be part of the MC, but also from the most important team that are the LCPs. Therefore we will lead AIESEC in Mexico to achieve the impact we promise and fulfill the AIESEC Mexico 2015 Vision and we will become one of the most impactful entities in the Global Network.

4.Describe one of your weaknesses in team management. What have you been doing to ensure this does not impact your year as MCP?

The most important weakness I have is that I’m not an empathic guy, but during my MCVP term I received feedback from my ER Managers, MC teammate and LC Coachees about it and how I may improve. Also, the experience of been MC has develop my awareness of different types of Lead with Oxford Leadership or Dale Carnegie trainings that the MC give me the opportunity to participate, these allowed me to develop emotional intelligence skills and know more about how the people feel with my Leadership and with my teammates.

5.What’s the purpose of AIESEC existing in Mexico? Why does our job matter? The purpose of AIESEC existing in Mexico is because WE BELIEVE that if we develop leadership that is needed to create a positive impact we will be capable to impact the Generation of the Future and Today that is working to become the leaders that will make a country without injustice or discrimination, where the people has the same opportunities to develop themselves, and create the World of Tomorrow, where the BIG Dreams of young people become real and where impactful experiences allows young people to create a positive impact.

1.What is your vision for AIESEC in Mexico for the term 2014-2015?

I. Mexico is in the TOP 10 Country in the Global Network.

II. Ten Local Committees in Mexico lead the TOP 20 LC’s in IGN.

III. AIESEC Mexico LC’s are divided only in two clusters Super High Performance and High Performance. The Expansions in 6 months are Medium Performance LC’s and in 18 months High Performance LC’s.

IV. MC is purely strategic and creative team that Lead the Country to the NEXT LEVEL!

V. National Support Team is a strategic position before applying to an MC abroad.

Page 6: MCP 14 15 Daniel Vrenner Application

2. How can AIESEC in Mexico become more relevant in our country reality? Provide specific examples/actions/strategies.

“The most important team in AIESEC in Mexico is the LCP’s, because they are in charge of leading”

Taking and active role

AIESEC has an incredible platform; however, it is ultimately up to the individual to take full advantage of these opportunities. We will promote education cycles and new communication channels. We need to develop our EwA activities and position AIESEC as a organization that is proactive in the National Reality and that young leaders develop initiatives based on exchange to make the CHANGE happen! We need to develop and sell mass projects that are aligned with the National Reality and generate a National Brand “VIVA MEXICO” that will make the entity not only relevant in the AIESEC network, but in Universities.

Increasing capacityAIESEC provides young people with the opportunity to increase theoretical knowledge and practical experience in a wide-range of functional and soft skills, but we need to upscale process so we can impact more young people.

Building network

AIESEC provides young people with the opportunity to create a strong and global network to support them in their personal and professional pursuits. We will promote more events of networking where Young People and Leaders of the Government, companies and entrepreneurs join to discuss. Alumni AIESEC Mexico will be involve in the process to make this connections and maintain them in the long term.

Developing self awareness and personal vision

AIESEC supports young people in clarifying and expanding their ambitions through mentorship, personal vision exercises and an inspiring environment. We will empower these with PM and Exchange Summit. All this will be link with reintegration of the trainees in their LC or in Long Life Connection in the new Alumni Database.

Challenging worldview

AIESEC “shakes up” the way young people see the world through intense experiences such as conferences, working abroad, and engaging in diverse environments. The strategy is that every TLP will take a GCDP internship.

Page 7: MCP 14 15 Daniel Vrenner Application

3. Create a proposal for your National Strategy that should cover the next points:

• Make a SWOT of AIESEC in Mexico. The points above, and the correlation between them have to be evident in the plan you create.

•    The  3  main  priorities  for  AIESEC  in  Mexico  (National  Drivers)  based  on  the  SWOT  analysis.  What  concrete  strategies  would  you  propose  for  each  o f  those  priorities  at  the  end  of  your  term

Weaknesses

• We don’t count in the Entity with an active cooperation culture or tool where the LC’s may cooperate.

•The ER Managers should be full time members of the MCVP ER and will be in charge of attending meeting with the LCVP’s and their main goal is to obtain a big stakeholder for iGIP and iGCDP that provide the LC with a constant flow of TN’s, for GCDP should be planned for summer and winter peak.

•MCVP AD will be a full time position that will allow the LC’s to deliver process and analyze NPS results to create strategies to improve every experience we provide to our clients.

•Quality in the servicing to the trainee and the stakeholder. Further, the quality should begin from the selling material and the appearance we promote.

•T h e c a p i t a l i z a t i o n o f Momentum 2014 contacts and partners generated during the event.

•Our brand posit ioning in Universities, Companies and NGO’s is recognized, because of the relevance of our projects and the h igh impact the internships we provide to our stakeholders.

•The Growth model needs to be based: First, a strong Talent Management Strategy; in a second place, Sustainable Financial Model that makes the LC’s growth and all should be focus on Exchange.

•MCVP OD with the MCVP TM are in charge to develop the National Strategy focus on the d i v i s i o n o k p e r f o r m a n c e clusters and its main goal is to move LC’s from one stage to the next one and complete a sustainable growth path.

•The Strategy need to be divided by Programme for each cluster and be executed by the National OD MCB that are lead by the MCVP and support by the MCVP TM, because AIESEC in Mexico needs to build up a stronger leadership pipeline and members that will be highly motivated and will understand the Clarity of the Why.

•MCVP ER and MCVP OD should work side by side to accomplish the goal that each LC have a strategic iGCDP and iGIP Partner that provide the entity with a constant flow of TN’s.

•F o r u s t o a l i g n e d a n d accomplish the AIESEC Global & Mexico 2015 Vision we are obliged to continue with the sustainable expansion strategy MC 10.11 create, MC 11.12 c o n t i n u e a n d M C 1 2 . 1 3 improved and MC13.14 take it to the next level. Now it’s TIME TO BECOME FOR THE FIRST TIME A TRULY NATIONAL PLENARY!

•Investment from the national reserves on infrastructure and technology for a better tracking and education.

•Physical presence in every LC and with a strong relation with the Universities.

•The Upselling driver and the success in the OGX results in the last terms need to be Focus in the new Sub-Products for GIP and the recruitments should be focus in these profiles, but we need to IMPROVE IN ON-LINE RECRUITMENT. It’s moment to make physical and on-line recruitment simple and user friendly to aligned to the BHAG of “Engage and Develop, Every Young Person in the World!”

•International Cooperation with the strongest Entity of the network in each Sub-product.

NATIONAL DRIVERS

“WE ARE SO MUCH MORE and we just need to UNLEASH the LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCES we promise.”

Page 9: MCP 14 15 Daniel Vrenner Application

• What do you see as the biggest challenge to accomplishing each of the national drivers? How as MCP will you mitigate those risks?

The Organizational Culture of the members from AIESEC in Mexico will be the most challenging task to accomplish, such as the leadership and management skills of the TLP. I will mitigate this risk with the implementation of Presidents Meeting of three or four days that its main purpose is the education cycle and the procurement of developing Leadership and Management skills that will allow the LCPs to take his/her LC to the NEXT Level. As well the LCVPs will have these specified information for their reality and area. We need to make that ALL the members commit to be professional in their work and make AIESEC an organization that DELIVERS THE PROMISE to all the stakeholders. We need to change the mindset of every member that for us to GROW LIKE NEVER BEFORE we need to first be STRONGER LIKE NEVER BEFORE and BETTER LIKE NEVER BEFORE!

4. How should the planning process for the MC team look like?

The planning process of the MC should be made in co-creation with the LC’s and the Mexican Steering Team, because we need to involve all the members of AIESEC in Mexico in the planning of the MC. Furthermore, we need to commit to track the plan and to follow the promise we as a National Plenary plan, because more important than the planning process is the tracking process. Besides, we need to receive inputs of our BoA, Supervisory Group, Partners, Universities and of the last MC.

1. In the context 14-15 year, rank in order of importance the key responsibilities of the MCP and explain the reasons for your ranking.

MC Team ManagementWithout a doubt the MC Team is the team that guide the Entity through the strategy planned at the beginning of the year and generates different plans to achieve the goal.

Managing the LCP Team

The most important team in AIESEC in Mexico is the LCP’s, because they are in charge of leading the Local Committees and to motivate and manage all the members from AIESEC in Mexico. Hence, we need to develop and invest on them as much as possible and guide them to achieve their goals and historical results that will take AIESEC in Mexico to the NEXT Level!!!

National StrategyThe National Strategy is aligning with the drivers to develop and generate innovative strategies that will allow us as ONE AIESEC in Mexico to perform. This strategy has to be detail and with MoS and KPI’s so we can track the results.

Governance & AccountabilityAIESEC Mexico had existed for almost 50 years, because of the rigorous governance & accountability we have maintain to assure our tax deducibility and the record of the INM.

International RepresentationThe MCP is the most important representative of AIESEC in Mexico in the Global Plenary and if we want that our Country lead IGN and be a TOP 10 Country we need to continue with the excellent int. representation and positioning we have achieve till now.

IV. MCP JOB ROLE

“WE ARE SO MUCH MORE and we just need to UNLEASH the LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCES we promise.”

Page 10: MCP 14 15 Daniel Vrenner Application

External Representation Member Committee President is the last responsible to assist to the special external representation like Alumni, Forums, Seminar, etc.

Account Management & SalesTo increase the quality of AIESEC in Mexico internships we need to control more the account management and provide better experiences, because this will make our partners sustainable and long-term relations.

2.What is the current organizational culture of AIESEC in Mexico? What kind of culture would you like to see in AIESEC in Mexico? Please mention three activities that you will do in order to foster this.

The culture I want to generate in AIESEC in Mexico is a culture of COLLABORATION AND PRO-ACTIVENESS and that the MC is seen as THE LEADERS that will Co-Create with the LC’s the Vision we will achieve as ONE AIESEC in Mexico and a confidence atmosphere to communicate new ideas and problems. Therefore, the most important value will be COMMITMENT AND EFFICIENCY.

3.What role should AIESEC in Mexico play in the Global Network and Iberoamerica at the end of your term? What would be the main role of the MCP 14-15 in the Global Plenary?

The role of the MCP in the Global Plenary and in the IGN Region is to be a Mexican Youth Voice that needs to be a Leader in the Regional and Global Plenary that envision AIESEC 2015 and represent Mexico explaining, sharing and enriching the national strategy and plan. Also, we need to be participative, active, intelligent and savvy and the World will look up to our Country, because not only the MCP, but also every member from AIESEC in Mexico is ready and prepared to represent and LEAD AIESEC IN MEXICO TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!!!! The MCP should lead that Global Vision to Mexico and is the main representative in the country.

2.How would you describe the current relation between the LCs and the MC and what would you do about it? What’s the difference between the way an LC should be managed and an MC should be managed?I believe that the current relation from the LC’s and the MC has improved in the teamwork and strategies. However, the relation has been diminished, because the communication channels are not enough or the most efficient ones, since a lot of problems arise of misunderstandings or of non-solve doubts in a short time. I think that if the LC-MC relation work together and co-create strategies, goals, trainings and fun!!! We will be more united as an entity and we will work with PASSION for becoming the entity in which we DREAM!!!

“Mexico is ready and prepared to represent and lead AIESEC TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!”

Page 11: MCP 14 15 Daniel Vrenner Application

THESE PHOTOS ARE FROM THE GENERATION THAT CAME BEFORE US!!!!

TODAY WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO JUMP TO THE

SKY AND DREAM HIGH!!! LET TAKE AIESEC MEXICO TO THE

NEXT LEVEL.

I’M DANIEL VRENNER AND I’M STANDING FOR MCP 14.15 OF
