BLESSING OF BOOK BAGS: Please join us on Sunday, September 9 at 10:00 AM! Blessing of Book Bags and for a refreshing Rita’s Italian ice treat. Bring your book bags and place them around the altar. During the 10:00 service, Father Welin will say a special prayer for all people on their journey of learning. FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE: On Sunday, Aug. 19, 8 PM, on WITF-FM, 89.5, Public Radio, the American Choral Festival Concert held in April at Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, will be rebroadcast. The program will feature the music performed that night, as well as an interview with Susan Beckley and featured composer Mark Hayes. Additionally, Dr. Robert Lau, former Music Director at Mt. Calvary and renowned composer, has a piece featured in the concert. Approximately 12 singers from the Mt. Calvary Choir participated in this event which included several choirs from the Harrisburg area. It was an honor for Mt. Calvary to be invited to participate, and I’m very proud of our singers for the hard work they put in learning the music. So take a seat in your own living room, make yourself comfortable, and enjoy the rebroadcast of this glorious concert. Lynn Alt MT. CALVARY MEN’S OUTING: August 18th-12:30 to 4:00.
