Public school library has always a poor research materials and always limited by storage space

Public school library allocates large sums of money paying for additional book preservation & periodic updates

Due to lack of maintenance, the books in public school library is easily wear out and the type of paper used is easily destroyed by termites, by time resulting to missing pages

The damaged books cannot be re-printed or duplicated because there is no original file. This is the problem especially the Higher Education and Department of Education requires textbook has a 5 years usable content.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)


A. WHAT IS THE BEST PACKAGE PLAN FOR YOUR PUBLIC SCHOOL?

The best package plan we recommend is PERSONAL PACKAGE PLAN please see page 8 for more information. On every PC you have donated, we will install electronic books securely inside your PC. We offer socio-economic pricing program to reduce the cost of your package plan even we spend costly on our expenses such as installation, acquisition of electronic books license, software development and personnel deployment.

Under our pricing program we can adjust the total cost of each personal package plan if more than 50 PC’s will be installed. We can negotiate the licensing of electronic book titles on different publishing companies local and abroad.

However, if the provincial government would like to select another PACKAGE PLAN we can submit a new draft proposal for review.

B. WHAT IS THE CONTENT OF MCS DIGITAL LIBRARY?

Inside MCS Digital Library is an up-to-date editions of electronic books from pre-k, elementary, high school, college, and higher studies. The list of electronic book titles are

found in the bill of quantities (BOQ). A BOQ is MCS standard format that contains book title, book description, book copyright edition & book publishing name of companies.

C. DID YOU INCLUDE THE PRINTER & VIRTUAL DESKTOP IN PERSONAL PACKAGE PLAN?

Printer & virtual desktop computers are not included. However, if you request MCS to give bid specification package cost we can send to you upon request.

D. DO YOU CONDUCT PRODUCT DEMONSTRATION?

Yes. But on some places that is beyond our project office site we ask our client to give us a period of 5 days or more before conducting a free product demonstration.

E. IS TRAINING INCLUDED?

Yes. Training is essential and it takes only few minutes depending on the computing skills of the person. We will include quick guide and manual copies available in digital and hard format. In training we will select working student, teacher, or IT personnel, librarian in your organization. The training will teach you how to print electronic books and distribute copies to students for academic purposes.

F. ARE UPGRADES AND UPDATES AVAILABLE ALSO?

Yes. Upgrade is available upon request like upgrading your current computer infrastructure into virtual desktop technology setup on pages 14 to 15, memory upgrade, storage upgrade, or acquisition of new printer for printing purposes. MCS recommends to have a monthly updates of your electronic titles/journals based on the subscription program you wanted. We will give you the subscription program for deliberation.

G. DO YOU SELL COMPUTERS & PRINTERS?

Yes. We sell brand new computers and printers and we strive always to deliver high quality computers that patrons will surely enjoy the rich and dynamic content of electronic titles.

H. WHAT TYPE OF INK AND TONER DO YOU USED?

On pages 16 & 17 we have our own toner for laser printer & affordable colored inks for colored printer. If you have MCS Digital Library you will avail our 50% discount for your print production needs. For colored printers we have pigment and dye-based inks available. The pigment ink is used for long-term preservation, ideally used in cover page

prints of your electronic books. The dye-based ink is made from water component, dye-based inks usually smudge when water drops on the texture of paper but ideally use for massive production of copies for academic use only.

The toner is black color only but it performs rapid printing especially designed to manage printing the contents of your electronic books.

I. CAN WE COPY THE ELECTRONIC BOOKS?

No. The publishing companies and authors are the copyright holders of their titles. Copying is not recommended, since your electronic books are 100% secured from pirates if you give a try you can copy the entire electronic books installed by MCS; however you cannot read them in your computer once copied because we secured every title for your protection.

J. IS INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIRED?

Yes or No. MCS DL is an on-line & off-line library, we designed this technology to service the farthest town so that impoverish patrons can richly enjoy the contents of this magnificent technology.
