• Chose one piece of work. If art describe the art piece, if music describe the music etc.

• Explain how the artist has used one or more of the seven influences on Canadian identity

• Write how you think the artist has reflected Canada or showed being Canadian in their artwork.

• If you don’t think they have done this, write why you don’t think they did.

• Either way…. Give examples to back up your opinion. See Rubric

Stereotypes:• are a single statement or attitude about a group

of people that does not recognize the complex, multidimensional nature of human beings

• can be either positive or negative, but they are all unfair and misleading. Stereotypes reduce individuals to a rigid, inflexible image; without unique attributes.

• suggest that people or groups of people are the same, when, in fact, they are quite different.
