CHAPTER 1
Overview
In the this guide you will find step-by-step guide using Measurement & Automation Explorer to
setup and troubleshoot Force Transducers in MYOMED Myograph System.
Instructions
1.) Locate the Measurement & Automation icon on your desk top.

2.) If there is no icon on your desktop, you may alternatively find the program in the Start
Menu, under Programs: National Instruments: Measurement & Automation.

3.) Open Measurement & Automation. The Measurement & Automation Explorer window
will open.

4.) Click on the Devices and Interfaces in the directory tree on the lefts side of the
Measurement & Automation Explorer .

5.) Continue down the directory tree and open Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Devices folder.

6.) Select PCI-6023E (Device 1) to bring up the device options in the center explorer.

7.) Now, click Test Panels… tab located at the top of the explorer. The Test Panel Window
will now open. Before proceeding, confirm the Device Name in the test panel window is
PCI-6023E.

8.) Verify that the Analog Input tab is selected and Channel 0 is showing in the Channel
Drop Down Menu Box.

NOTE: Channel 0 in the Test Panel window corresponds to the Channel 1 force transducer on
the myograph. Likewise, Channel 1 in the Test Panel window corresponds to the Channel 2 force
transducer on the myograph. Also note that the units of the graph in the Test Panel window are
Volts and NOT grams. The purpose of this procedure is to test the viability of transducers and
not to calibrate them.

9.) To test Channel 1 transducer, ensure sure Channel 0 is selected, and slightly tap on the
device. You should see a similar reading to this.

10.) Next, using the up arrow button in the Channel Drop Down Box select Channel 1
(Channel 2 on the myograph).

11.) Lightly tap the Channel 2 transducer on the myograph to display a voltage reading the
Test Panel Window.

12.) Repeat these steps for Channels 0 through 7 in the Test Panel Window (Channels 1
through 8 on the myograph.
If you experience Clipping or No Signal at all, there is a problem with the transducer block itself
or the connectivity with the system.
