Measure mesh tension, with respect to:

• absolute values (nominal value: 10 N/cm)• in homogeneities / systematics

Aspects not jet addressed

• influence of spacer gluing process• QC of delivered, pre-stretched meshes• influence of panel gluing process

Setup:• horizontal setup of the drift panel (mesh upside)• panel supported on left & right edge (Al-bars) • measuring every 20cm on 5 (equal-spaced) lines along the panel

Reproducibility of all measurements on ±0.2 N/cm level

☒ Small drift gap leads to touching on the drift panel at some measurement points

• Re-measure L2 panel after spacer gluing Influence of spacer gluing process?

• Measure the pre-stretched meshes for MSW Enables us to measure influence of panel gluing

process during MSW production

• Need to agree on upper / lower limits for mesh tension Ideas of how to proceed & help are highly welcome
