HYDROCYCLONE SEPARATORSHydrocyclone Separators are effective in

removing suspended particles 40 micron andlarger from any flow stream of fluid where the

specific gravity (density) of the particle(s) isheavier than the fluid it is in; the more significant

the difference in gravity between the fluidand the particle, the greater the efficiency of

the removal process.

Depending on thespecific gravity of the particle and the viscosityof the flow stream, denser particles as small as5 microns can be removed. NOTE: Particulateremoval can be enhanced if multiple passes of

COAGULATION & FLOCCULATION CHEMICALS

Coagulation is the destabilization of colloids by neutralizing the forces that keep them apart. Cationic coagulants providepositive electric charges o reduce the negative charge (Zeta potential) of the colloids. As a result, the particles collide toform larger particles (flocs). Rapid mixing is required to disperse the coagulant throughout the liquid. Care must be takennot to overdose the coagulants as this can cause a complete chargereversal and restabilize the colloid complex.

PRINCIPAL MARKETS SERVEDOur primary markets include water treatment, oil refining, pharmaceuticals, pulp/paper, chemical processing, agriculture, andfood/beverage.

Our products include aluminum sulfate, aluminum chlorohydrate, and ferric sulfate for water treatment applications. We offervarious grades of sulfuric acid as well as provide sulfuric acid regeneration services to the refining and chemical industries.In addition, our product line includes ingredientsused in prescription pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, veterinaryhealth products.

Flocculation is the action of polymers to form bridges between the flocs. and bind the particles into large agglomerates orclumps. Bridging occurs when segments of the polymer chain adsorb on different particles and help particles aggregate. An anionic flocculant will react against a positively charged suspension, adsorbing on the particles and causingdestabilization either by bridging or charge neutralization. In this process it is essential that the flocculating agent beadded by slow and gentle mixing to allow for contact between the small flocs and to agglomerate them into larger particles. The newly formed agglomerated particles are quite fragile and can be broken apart by shear forces during mixing. Caremust also be taken to not overdose the polymer as doing so will cause settling/clarification problems. Anionic polymersthemselves are lighter than water. As a result, increasing the dosage will increase the tendency of the floc to float andnot settle.

CHLORINE DIOXIDE GENERATOR

Chlorine Dioxide is an extraordinary molecule consisting of one chlorine atom and

two oxygen atoms. It exists as a stable radical molecule in dilute solutions, and is

10x more soluble in water and 2.5x more efficient than chlorine treatments.

Chlorine Dioxide is effective in a wide pH range from pH 4 to pH 10.

This powerful oxidizing biocide has been successfully used as a water treatment

disinfectant for several decades in many countries, and is in use at over 1000

municipalities in the United States for drinking water treatment. Rapid progress has

been made in the technology for generating Chlorine Dioxide, and knowledge of its

reactivity has increased with improved analytical techniques. It is highly soluble in

water, and absorbs light and breaks down into chlorite and chloride.

Spray bar water treatmentSpray water is used on a variety of products for washing and rinsing of fresh fruits and vegetables. Chorine Dioxide provides very effective water treatment to potable water microbial quality, and provides a clean and treated water source.
