Medevac Nouvelle Calédonie is a dedicated medevac service and has extensive experience in South Pacific medevac operations. We have a team of highly trained and experienced pilots, emergency physicians and nurses. We operate a modern fleet of aircraft and state of the art medical equipment. All this ensures MEDEVAC Nouvelle Calédonie offers a clinical service of the highest quality. Our geographical position ensures the most responsive medevac service in the South Pacific, serving locations such as Suva (Fiji), Santo or Tanna (Vanuatu). When time is critical, we will have skilled medical personnel at the patient’s bed side 2-3 hours earlier than any other service. New Caledonia is a real aircraft carrier in the South Pacific for emergency care. Our location and also the favourable currency exchange rate mean we can offer customers the best possible price. New Caledonia has a modern and well equipped hospital with French trained staff. This may be an option for patients too unstable to transfer to hospitals in Australia or New Zealand.

About Air Alizé

Air Alizé has been operating Medevac flights in the Pacific since 2005, initially within New Caledonia, and subsequently to international destinations in the outer Pacific regions.

Based at Noumea – Magenta Domestic Airport, we are only 5 minutes from Noumea's main hospital.

Over the last 5 years we have conducted over 2500 medevac missions. Most Medevac operators in the South Pacific do not have their own aircraft and rely on external aviation companies to provide and operate the aircraft. Air Alizé is proud to be an owner-operator company with our own fleet of Medevac dedicated aircraft.

Our versatile fleet of 5 aircraft can handle all types of missions from local short field unpressurised flights to long haul, high altitude jet travel. Air Alizé holds an AOC (Air Operator Certificate) issued by the French Civil Aviation Authority that is fully compliant with the European EU-OPS1 standard. Our highly trained pilots have substantial experience with both Medevac missions and oceanic operations. All are EU licensed professional pilots with a minimum of 5 years experience and over 2000 hours flight time. All Medevac flights are crewed by 2 pilots and are operated under IFR (instrument flight rules). To guarantee maximum availability of our fleet, we operate our own maintenance workshop, which is approved under EASA part 145 regulations.

4

Our 24/7 ground operation service provides flight preparation, en route support, and coordination of all services required for the mission. Departure for most destinations is guaranteed within 2 hours of formal activation . Since 2006 Air Alizé has been the main contractor for New Caledonia's public health insurance company for all medical flights, with an average of 450 missions performed each year. In 2009, Air Alizé and FGIWorld united as MEDEVAC Pacific. We won the Wallis and Futuna Island public health Insurance Agency contract and are now the exclusive Medevac provider between Wallis and Futuna and New Caledonia. In 2011, MEDEVAC NC was selected by the New Caledonia public health insurance agency (CAFAT) to operate all medevac missions between Nouméa and Sydney. Since then we have performed an average of 2 flights a week with our Citation Jet. In 2012 Air Alizé was successfully audited by an Australian aviation auditor.

About Gaston Bourret Hospital, Nouméa. If a patient is clinically too unstable to be transferred directly to Australia or New Zealand, we can transfer the patient to CHT Gaston Bourret (GB Hospital) in the centre of Nouméa. This can also be an economical option for those patients in the South Pacific who require transfer to an increased level of care, but who do not require the services of tertiary hospitals in Australia or New Zealand. Many patients could be assessed and stabilised in Nouméa before returning home on a commercial flight. Modern and well equipped, CHT Gaston Bourret, can provide a wide range of services including CT, ICU, cardiology, decompression chamber etc. We can organise admission to GB hospital. Many of our staff are employed at GB and we have a good relationship with their services. Our Chief Medical Officer has worked part time for the EMS at GB hospital since 1990.

During the admission we will keep the customer fully informed about the patient’s condition, treatment, and recommendations.

10

Once the patient has been stabilised, it will often be possible for them to travel on a commercial flight, which is much more economical than air ambulance. We have a good relationship with our local airline, Aircalin. We can quickly organise flights with a medical escort, and can even arrange oxygen to be supplied with 24 hours notice. For example, a patient with chest pain could be disembarked from a cruise ship at Vanuatu. Currently it is often necessary to transfer the patient to Australia via air ambulance. However it would be possible to transfer the patient to Noumea for cardiology assessment. If the pain was assessed to be of non-cardiac origin, the patient could be transferred to Australia on a commercial flight, which would be much less expensive for the customer. Modern ambulance services available in Noumea will ensure patient transfer from Nouméa-Magenta airport to CHT Gaston Bourret hospital in only a few minutes. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), New Caledonia has health standards similar to Europe, Australia or New Zealand (same level of Infant mortality and life expectancy). GB Hospital meets the standards of the best French regional hospitals. All medical specialities are available. All physicians and nurses are French and have graduated from the finest French medical schools. French accreditation is required for all personnel working in New Caledonian hospitals.

11

Noumea Gaston Bourret hospital is equipped with : 8 Operating Rooms 24 beds in intensive care unit 8 beds in cardio intensive care unit 1 resuscitation unit 1 obstetric unit and 2 Obstetric operating rooms 1 CT Scanner 1 MRI 1 Coronary angiography unit Several medical analysis laboratories Emergency rooms and hospital are open 24/7. A patient suffering from a myocardial infarction in SUVA can be transported to Nouméa GB hospital in less than 6 hours. Coronary angiography and stenting can be performed. After stabilisation, the patient can be transferred with medical escort to Australia or New Zealand on commercial flight. The same thing can be proposed for a polytrauma or cerebral vascular accident.

13

The Cessna Citation C525a CJ2+ is a modern versatile twin jet aircraft manufactured in 2006 and is approved for instruments (IFR) and known icing flight conditions. CJ2+'s powerful jet engines allows climb from sea level to 45000 ft in as little as 22 minutes, providing smooth flight conditions above significant weather. Cruising higher that most commercial traffic is an advantage when flying within the busy terminal airspace of Sydney or Auckland. A very efficient pressurisation system provides a comfortable cabin altitude of 8000ft at cruising altitude. The CJ2+ is also able to maintain sea level cabin altitude up to 23000 ft while keeping an adequate range to reach most of the common destinations. The advanced wing design makes the CJ2+ one of the best performers in it's category when it comes to short field operations. The CJ2+ can operate to and from runways as short as 1500m Our CJ2+ is dedicated to Medevac operations and equipped accordingly. Equipment includes LIFEPORT© stretcher system and convenient 110/220 volt power outlets available for medical equipment. High speed (up to 800 km/h) and significant range (up to 2800 km) makes the Cessna Citation CJ2+ a very capable air ambulance able to link almost any South Pacific island to major hospitals very quickly.
