How did you attract/addres

s your audience?

I chose the coverlines from

the results of my questionnaire, so that I knew the

bands would appeal to the

audience.

I used the buzz word “PLUS” to make it seem

like the audience was getting

more for their money.

Direct address from the main

image grabs the audience’s attention.

The colour scheme of black, purple and grey were chosen as they were the most popular colours on the results of my questionnaire

I chose 4 images which

make my magazine more interesting to the audience

and also gives it a visual aspect.

For the coverlines, I used gatekeeping so I

could keep the audience more

intrigued about what else is in the

magazine and specific articles.

I made sure that each band name on my contents was in bold and

stand out against the rest of the

text and makes it easier for the

reader to glace at the contents and get a basic idea

of what band is in that month’s magazine.

I used only colours that were

mentioned in my questionnaire

results.

I chose to use a really bold font so

it really stands out

from all other text

I made sure that my

main image connoted

my particular genre of music.

The drop quotes are used so I give away little snippets of the article which the means that the

audience will have to read on to find out what those certain quotes are about.
