THERE are some chances to sail
Arrivals expected: 5th May - 8th May
As usual arrivals are unpredictable but here goes:
We will have limited dockside access for media so if you would like to put in a request please do so as soon as possible
There will be a press conference upon arrival provided Dongfeng finish in the top three. To receive information and timings by text message please email: [email protected]
There will be one-on-one interviews with the sailors after the press conference. To request an interview with a sailor, please email [email protected]
There will be a ‘mixed zone’ for media upon arrivals after the prize giving where media can ask questions to the sailors.

Recovery time between: 8th - 13th May

Our sailors have completed 6 out of 10 legs in this crazy race and they are shattered. We like to let them recover for a few days before throwing them back into the action.
Team Director Bruno Dubois and OC Sport Chairman Mark Turner are both available for interviews.
Back in business WEDNESDAY 13th May
Media Activity:

THURSDAY 14th MaY - Media race
Media Activity:
1300 is the Media Race (also known as the Practice Race) an opportunity for media to experience racing onboard Dongfeng. A unique opportunity to spend some time with the crew in their own environment. If you would like to request a slot onboard please email [email protected] Please not that if you are a guest you will need to arrive at 1030
There will be allocated interview times with the team between 1000 - 1030 and 1800 - 1830. To request an interview with please email [email protected].
0930 Skippers press conference will be held in the Boatyard.

1500 Newport Media Welcome Reception
SATURDAY 16th MAY In-port race day
Schedule:
- In-Port race day can be manic and we never manage to stick to our usual interview times. So if you require an interview please contact [email protected]
- 09:30-11:30 Media centre opens and media boat check-in. If you would like to apply for a space on the media boat please email [email protected]
- 12:15 In-Port Race parade
- 13:00 Media boat departure from meeting point
- 14:00 In-port Race
- 15:30 Media boats return to Race Village
- 16:00 Public prize giving (approximate timing)
SATURDAY 17th May - Leg start
The last day:
- 09:30-11:30 Media centre opens and media boat check-in- 11:50 Departure interviews in crew holding area Interview requests must be made in advance.
- 12:00 Departure Ceremony
- 13:00 Media boat departure from meeting point
- 14:00 Leg 6 Start to Newport
- 15:30 Media boats return to Race Village
