The new “completely green” and “extremely compact” solution can give a standard electric- powered car, enough charge in 10 minutes to sustain a driving distance* of 5 to 6 kilometers, designed to allow the vehicle to travel to the nearest permanent charging point for a full charge.(*The driving distance is in accordance with the State of Health and State of Charge of the EV battery system pack. This EV charger provides greater flexibility by being available in either a skid mounted or small sized trailer mount. ) The technology is now ready to go to market and Club Assist can potentially roll it out around the world to more than 68 motoring cluborganisations. Lithium-ion Powered Mobile Electric Vehicle Charger – Features
The Mobile Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charger is designed to allow convenient access to an EV that has a fully depleted high voltage traction battery and is disabled at roadside or in a location where there is no fixed site EV charge facility.
The Lithium-ion powered Mobile EV Charge solution can be supplied in a Skid or regular trailer for complete operational flexibility.
Designed with Emergency Roadside Assistance in mind, the Mobile EV Charge trailer can deliver to a stranded Electric Vehicle an instant charge to allow in just a short time sufficient High Voltage battery charge to enable the EV to be driven to the nearest fixed EV Charge Station, for complete re-charge.
By utilising the emission free capability of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LifePO4) battery chemistry with all on-board safety and battery controls, this new totally quiet Mobile EV Charger can be sent to an incident with full confidence of energy delivery 24 hours per day. On return to base the internal HV battery pack can be re-charged from a regular 10 amp 240V AC wall socket. The Mobile EV Charger can deliver up to three 40 minute charge cycles, allowing roadside attendance for 3 stranded EV’s in a given work shift.
The Mobile EV Charger is equipped with EV Charge facilities as follows:
