Creek Productions, we’re committed to having

The American Archer
American Archer was the first all
archery show on the Outdoor Channel
more than 15 years ago. Host Tom
Nelson draws on his experience of
more than 30 years in the field to bring
viewers an honest look at bow hunting
and the world of archery each week.
Tom Nelson has been called the voice
of the archery world for good reason!
Tom Nelson
Tom Nelson, born and raised in central Michigan, still resides
in the Great Lake State. The future American Archer received
his first bow at 7 years old and was instantly enthralled with
the bow and arrow, shooting nearly every day. An avid target
and field archer throughout his early and late teens, Nelson
competed in tournaments throughout the Midwest.
During those early years, he was employed at Anderson
Archery (the largest archery shop in the world) in Grand
Ledge, Michigan. There he was fortunate enough to meet and
become friends with some of bow hunting’s greatest archers:
Fred Bear, Jim Dougherty, Chuck Adams and M.R. James.
Over the past 35 years, Tom Nelson has bow hunted seven
countries and 23 states, tagging over 30 different species of
big game with a bow and arrow.
Outdoor America
Outdoor America is one of the cornerstones
of Outdoor Channel and its success. The award
winning series debuted on the Outdoor Channel
in 1994. It has been a ratings leader and fan
favorite ever since.
Deer City USA
Outdoor America has now partnered with
Wolf Creek’s newest member Deer City USA.
This gives viewers a new take on hunting
whitetails, alongside the big game hunting
they have grown to love.
The combination of these two amazing
platforms provides viewers with one 30 minute,
action-packed show for their viewing pleasure.
The first half of each show will be all big game
(Elk, Moose, Hogs, Turkeys, Alligators, etc.). The
second half of each show will be everything
whitetails (Deer City USA).
Steve Gruber
In 1993, Steve founded Wolf Creek Productions with
photographer Tom Nichols. The company has grown into
one of the most respected names in outdoor television today.
The company’s programs include “Outdoor America”, which
is the longest running series on The Outdoor Channel, where
it debuted in the fall of 1994. He also stars on the hit series
“Deer City USA!”
Hunting extensively in North America, Africa, New Zealand,
Alaska, Canada and many more remote locations around the
world; Steve has harvested dozens of game animals by way of
archery, muzzleloader and modern firearm. He has numerous
record book class animals to his credit, some of which include
Whitetail deer, Black Bear, Moose, Caribou, Antelope, Kudu,
Leopard, Tahr, Red Stag, Blacktail, Elk and many more.
Randy Lack
A man of many talents, Randy Lack brings his passion for the
outdoors and his love of bird dogs to American Birdhunter.
Randy has appeared on the Wingshooter and Benelli’s
American Birdhunter numerous times over the last eight years
His outgoing personality and quick wit make him a natural fit
in front of the camera.
