Call for Nominations for Mother Teresa Humanitarian Award
and Faith Community Nurse of the Year
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach Interfaith Health and Wellness
Program will honor recipients for their compassionate, courageous, and merciful
work in helping those in need, at its Celebration of Faith-based Nursing Awards
Luncheon. Award winners are chosen on the basis of their life-long dedication and
service to enhance the quality of life in the community. Tickets are available for
those wanting to attend the luncheon. To nominate a community volunteer or faith

Rachel’s Vineyard Healing Retreat Set for April 8-10
Hope after abortion and miscarriage: Experience the healing love of Jesus Christ
during a Rachel’s Vineyard healing retreat. This retreat offers an opportunity to
deeply enter into the grieving process and identify the ways your abortion or
miscarriage may have affected you or a loved one. Discussions, spiritual exercises,
prayer and reflection combined with the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a Memorial
Service honoring your child and a beautiful Mass will help to heal the wounds of
your past. Participation is strictly confidential and offers a unique opportunity to
experience God’s love, forgiveness and tender compassion. Both men and women
are invited to experience this healing for their soul. All faith backgrounds are
welcome to attend. The next retreat begins on Friday, April 8 through Sunday, April
10, 2016. It will be held at Casa San Carlos Retreat Center, in Delray Beach. Pre-

Diocesan Annual Chrism Mass Date & Time: March 22, 11 a.m. As part of Holy Week, all the faithful are invited to attend. Bishop Barbarito will bless the three oils that will be used for sacramental purposes during the next year. He and the priests will renew their vows and those with significant ordination anniversaries will be recognized.

National Child Abuse Awareness Month
In observance of Child Abuse Awareness month, the Office of Safe Environments would like to invite you to show your support against child abuse by wearing blue. April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month and our office would like all schools and parishes to participate one day during the week of:
April 11-16, 2016
Plan an event that raises awareness and starts a discussion about Child Safety. Have all students, staff, youth groups, Religious Education classes and ministries get involved. Wear blue, create a slogan, have a fund raiser, plant pinwheels, tie ribbons, have a family event, prayer service or hold a training class.
