wheelchair, please contact your airline company.

Naples & the Amalfi Coast

The underground city: the Bourbon tunnel

The Bourbon Tunnel is the most fascinating under-

ground route of the city of Naples : explore the hid-

den treasures underneath the surface of the city, from old

Roman roads and the early Greek artifacts, to the

vehicles and motorcycles of the 40s, 50s and 60s as well

as statues and ruins from the second World War.

The Tunnel was built in 1853 by Ferdinand II of Bourbon,

who needed a secret military way from the Royal Palace

to the barracks after the revolution in the 1848.

Tours are available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Saint Elmo Castle and Saint MartinO

On the hill of Naples, there is one of the most symbol-

ic monuments of the city: the Castle of Saint Elmo,

a multifunctional center offering art exhibitions, shows,

concerts and conference. Moreover, due to its location,

it offers breathtaking views of the city and the gulf of Na-

ples.

In the same monumental complex, we found the Nea-

politan monastery, dedicated to Saint Martin founded in

1325 by Charles Angiò. Between the end of the 1500s

and the 1600s the whole monastery was complete-

ly transformed by several artists, and today, only the

subterranean parts preserved their original structure.

The undergrounds host the museum sculpture section.



Pompeii and Herculaneum daily excursion

Explore the ancient ruins of Herculaneum and Pom-

peii on this day trip from Naples, a fascinating jour-

ney back to the Roman Empire when Pompeii and the

Volcano Vesuvius area were the most beautiful resort in

Italy. Visiting this World Heritage Site, you will jump into

the daily life of the ancient Roman Empire: the Basilica,

the Thermal Baths, the House of the Mosaic Atrium, the

House of Neptune, just to mention few of the places that

you are going to visit. Both sites, Pompeii and Herculane-

um were buried beneath 60 feet of ash when the Volcano

Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD.

The island of Capri is one of the most visited loca-

Discover the typical village of Anacapri, with its narrow

streets and small squares, then head to the main spot of

the island, La Piazzetta, where you can sit and relax in one

Uffizi Gallery tour

Discover an impressive collection of over 1,500 mas-

terpieces from the 12th up to the 16th century.

The Uffizi complex’s construction started in 1560, by

Giorgio Vasari for Cosimo de’ Medici, to accommodate

the offices of the Florentine magistrates, hence the name

uffizi, “offices”. The project planned also to display prime

art works of the Medici collections, and over the years,

more and more sections of the palace were dedicated

to exhibit paintings and sculpture collected or commis-

sioned by the family. Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo

used to gather at the Uffizi “for beauty, for work and for

recreation.”

Boboli Gardens

The Boboli gardens are one of the greatest open-

air museums in Florence: a spectacular exam-

ple of “green architecture” decorated with sculp-

tures and the prototype which inspired many

European Royal gardens, in particular, Versailles.

Along your walk, you will discover the highlights of the

gardens, in particular the Amphitheatre, the Garden of

the Cavalier, the Koffeehouse and the Egyptian Obelisk,

placed right in the center of the garden, it was brought

from Luxor in 1789.

Closed every first and last Monday of each month.

Visit this beautiful 15th century castle, built by the

Duke of Milan, on the remains of a 14th century for-
