I absolutely love every part of my course, but for my dissertation this coming year I’m specialising in modern women’s writing. Outside of work, I’m involved in lots of music, playing the flute in the College orchestra, singing in the choir, and helping out in Univ’s music committee, which organises all of the musical events that go on in College. Amy – Earth Sciences – 2nd Year I’m a second year Earth Scientist. When I’m not looking at rocks or analysing earthquakes, I enjoy playing with the Univ women’s rugby club, dancing at the university salsa society and training with the Univ badminton club. After university, I would love to travel the world working in climate science. Amy – History – 1st Year Alongside studying history at Oxford, I have also continued playing netball and got involved in the Feminist Society and Univ’s own Art Society. Studying history at Univ has been really enjoyable, the tutors are extremely helpful and fortunately I love reading which is very helpful for this degree. I am also very passionate about welfare and would recommend the weekly welfare teas that the univ jcr hosts. Anna – PPE – 1st Year I'm Anna I'm originally from the delightful city of Southampton. I'm already counting down the days until we are back in Univ October! Academically, I am interested in African politics and love the opportunity to link Geography to my studies. Who doesn't love a map! Outside of my degree, I am fascinated (if scared) by the world of the media - whether that's writing for student publications, attending speaker events, or spending too much time in the cinema. Ayesha – Oriental Studies (Egyptology) – 1st Year I’m Ayesha, I do Egyptology (yes, it exists). My course involves learning the history of Ancient Egypt and also learning how to read hieroglyphs which is pretty cool. Outside of that, I really enjoy painting or doing crosswords with my nan. At College I’m always up for a bit of fun. Connie – PPE – 2nd Year I've just finished my second year of PPE at Univ. I specialise in politics and philosophy, and tend to spend my time doing a lot of political theory. I love attending seminars and speaker events put on by student societies in Oxford! When I'm not studying, I enjoy hanging out around the city with my friends and getting involved with various societies (including the Labour Club, for which I am the current co-chair).

Who doesn't love a map! Outside of my degree, I am fascinated (if scared) by the world of the media - whether that's writing for student publications,

attending speaker events, or spending too much time in the cinema.

Ellie – Law – 1st Year I'm from Manchester and I have just finished my first year studying Law. For a long time, I had no idea what I wanted to study at University (I did Maths, Geography and English Lit at A-Level), but I chose Law because of how it affects almost every aspect of our lives. Outside of studying, I enjoy swimming, baking, and am a proud member of the Oxford Northerner's society. Elsa – Music – 2nd Year Hello, my name is Elsa and I’m from Manchester! I’m in second year and I study Music. Alongside my degree I do lots of extracurricular music, including playing the organ and singing in chapel services, playing the violin in Univ orchestra, and participating in University-wide ensembles. I have also dabbled in College rowing and Zumba sessions! Freya – Classics – 1st Year Hey, I'm Freya, and I'm a first year studying Classics. This year I've been studying Greek and Latin languages, history, art, and linguistics, and I can't wait to start my philosophy module next year! Outside of my academic work, I also enjoy being an ambassador for my College, and I was recently elected as President of the Oxford University Badminton Club! George – Engineering Science – 2nd Year I’m George, I'm from Somerset and I'm a second year Engineering Science student with a specific interest in Aerospace and Electronical Engineering. In my spare time I play for the College hockey team and take part in the weekly board games nights. I am also a member of the University Formula student team where I help with the electronics in the car. Glyn – PPE – 2nd Year Hi there, I’m Glyn and I come from Ceredigion, West Wales. Outside of academics, I love getting involved with student plays, attending out-of-College social events, and I’ve just finished my year on committee for the LGBTQ+ Society. I had no idea what to expect from Oxford when I was at school, so I’d love to answer any questions you have about applying, studying, or living here! Harry – Maths – 2nd Year Hi! I'm Harry and I've just finished studying my second year of maths at Univ. When I'm not busy studying I like to play games with the board games society and write quizzes which I have previously held in the College bar. I am also involved in the music society at the College and I was in charge of organising concerts in our Master's Lodgings.

Jade – Physics – 1st Year My name is Jade Powell and I study Physics at Univ. I am also the LGBTQ+ Rep and Entz Rep for Univ, and love being an active part of the College. Apart from studying, I enjoy volunteering and exploring the beautiful city of Oxford. Katie – Experimental Psychology – 2nd Year I’m originally from Harrogate in North Yorkshire which is where I’ve been studying from home this term. When I’m in Oxford, I captain Univ’s mixed hockey team and I’m also a member of the College board games society which meets weekly. Another thing which I enjoy doing in my spare time is being a Univ ambassador, which involves representing the College for various outreach events.

Lewis – Biochemistry – 2nd Year Hi, I'm Lewis. Hopefully you're enjoying summer despite the pandemic! I certainly missed being in Oxford last term - it’s an amazing place to be! Beyond College life, I’m a keen member of the university gymnastics club which like many clubs and societies is open to both beginners and those with past experience so Oxford certainly isn't short of opportunities. For me, no question is too small or silly so please fire away :)

Lizzie – Medicine – 3rd Year I’ve just finished third year as a medical student studying here at Univ. As well as spending my days in the lab or at lectures, I enjoy training for the university gymnastics team, illustrating for a number of student magazines and taking lots of photos of all the amazing buildings around Oxford! Feel free to ask me any questions about university life, medicine at Oxford or anything else that you think of during the open day.

Malhar – Biochemistry – 3rd Year I'm a third-year Biochemistry student from India here at Univ. I was the International Students' Representative for the JCR (Junior Common Room) 2 years ago and have been involved with student publications like The Oxford Scientist, cultural group like the Majlis South Asian Society, and with student government bodies like the SU. My time at Oxford has been incredible and am happy to answer

any and all questions you might have!

Martha – Maths and Philosophy – 1st Year I have really enjoyed my first year studying here. I really like how my degree straddles two very different subjects. Outside of my degree I am involved with political societies, and next year I will be the treasurer of the Univ JCR committee. I was on the opportunity programme which is now uni-wide (called Opportunity Oxford), so if you have any questions about it then please ask!

Memoona – Experimental Psychology – 2nd Year Apart from my psychological research on inter group stereotypes and PTSD, I enjoy writing poetry and fiction. I’ve written regularly for the Univ liberation magazine Roots and their Branches! I also enjoy singing at College open mics. I’m obsessed with musicals, collecting postcards and far too many Oreo milkshakes at G&D’s. Nina – Physics – 1st Year Hey, my name's Nina and I am a first-year physicist at Univ. I probably try to do way too many things alongside my degree - tennis, dancing, a bit of art, guitar and ukulele, travelling as much as possible, diving, doing outreach work and volunteering, and some coding. I enjoy anything that incorporates a good sense of humour and/or builds a huge, complex fantasy world. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Priya – Music – 3rd Year Hi I'm Priya, a Univite who has just complete a bachelors degree in music. Along with being a first study singer, I've spent a lot of time on student drama on a College and university level. When I have a free evening, I love going to endless events organised by Oxford societies, discussing music, art, films, feminism and more! Rebecca – Earth Sciences – 2nd Year Hi, I'm Rebecca, an Earth Sciences student here at the friendliest College (Univ)! Alongside studying the formation, processes and materials of the Earth, I enjoy running, hiking (when I can), and coffee! (Oxford is full of great coffee shops!) I also love being an Ambassador for Univ as I get to meet lots of inspiring and enthusiastic applicants and show them the wonders of College life. I look forward to meeting you!

Rosie – Engineering Science – 3rd Year Hi, I'm Rosie and I've just finished my third year of Engineering Science at Univ. I'm specialising in biomedical engineering now but my degree so far has covered everything from wind turbines to blood flow in the brain. Outside of my degree, I spend my time playing the violin in orchestras, helping out with access work for the uni and working on the aerodynamics of Oxford's Formula Student race car. Samantha – Chemistry – 2nd Year Hi, I'm Samantha and I have just finished my second year of chemistry at Univ. In my spare time I enjoy reading and playing hockey in the College team. Mostly, I enjoy spending time with my friends, chatting and watching movies together.
