How is the project funded?
Following an extensive application
process, and approval by The British
Council, the project is fully funded by
The European Union.
Project Summary
FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS WE AIM TO:Share cultural and socio-economic structures and
educational systems.
Create awareness of the EU and what European citizienship means.
Stress the importance of learning a foreign language.
FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS WE AIM TO:Combat all forms of discrimination.
Improve teaching by adapting techniques and methods observed during mobilities.
Disseminate experiences and involve as many people as possible.
We aim to:
Present our final products to as many people as we can.
Announce our art exhibition through Europe.
How will the project be evaluated?
Each school will complete yearly reports to present totheir national agencies.
They will fill in evaluation questionnaires following each meeting.
All participants will be encouraged to write about their
experiences on the Comenius website.
End ResultsThe project will culminate with a published book containing a collaborative story, written in five sections, including each country’s chosen character. The book will contain the story in each language along with illustrations.
As well as the book there will be an animated CD with pictures and music based on the story.
During the final meeting, to be held in York, there will be an international art exhibition entitled My Hero. Details of this will be found on the website.
