Granada

Granada is located in the southeast of

Spain right at the Sierra Nevada mountain

range.

Moorish heritage - Granada is the essence

of poetry. Federico Garcia Lorca, the

universal Granada writer, immortalised his

city in his art. Once visited, it is not

difficult to understand the well-known

verse, which reads: "There is nothing like

the pain of being blind in Granada".

This fabulous city preserves all the

enchantment and mystery of eight

centuries of Moorish occupation, which

lasted until the re-conquest by Catholic

Kings in 1492.

The Alhambra, a castle complex of

worldwide fame, they say it's the eight'

miracle of the world!

Afterwards night visit to

Alhambra

The Alhambra was originally constructed as

a small fortress in 889 and then largely

ignored until its ruins were renovated and

rebuilt in the mid-11th century by the

Moorish emir of the Emirate of Granada,

who built its current palace and walls.

It was converted into a royal palace in

1333 by the Sultan of Granada. Alhambra

was extended by the different Muslim

rulers who lived in the complex. However,

each new section that was added followed

the consistent theme of "paradise on

earth".

Column arcades, fountains with running

water, and reflecting pools were used to

add to the aesthetic and functional

complexity.

Especially at night you feel like in a tale!
