Elected Officials’ Reports: Officer Adam McElroy Community Relations Officer: Crime stats for last 12 months – Crime trending down. Commercial robberies – 0 (this month), street robberies – 2 (this month), 3 (last month), 3 (2 months ago); Residential burglaries– 19(this month), 15 (last month), 26 (last year this month), car prowls – 46 (this month), 42 (last month), 60 (same month last year), stolen car – 16 (this month), 20 (last month) (32 this month last year). Overall crimerate below average this month. Eastern Division received 5 police bikes (funding assistance from community groups and Marti Emerald’s office). Torch run held last month. Touch a truck event recently held at the Q. 06/05/14 homicide off Mission Gorge. Looking for suspect (person of interest). D. Smith asks about body found behind restaurant on Mission Gorge Rd. Officer McElroy has no updates. Audience member asks about police staffing levels compared to last year. Officer McElroy does not have specifics but losing officers to retirement (9 per month average). About 1,700 officers on force currently. Councilman Scott Sherman – Riley Webb/Liz: Budget passed money for campground and resurfacing projects big one in Del Cerro/College Ave and Jackson Drive as well as Mission Gorge. Newsletter on table in back. Outlines Councilman’s Sherman’s activities for the past month. Last Friday park campground opening ceremony. Break open gate ceremony. Used bolt cutter to open gate. Councilmembers Lightner and Zaph also in attendance. S’mores social that evening. M. McSweeney asks about size of camp sites. Good facilities. D. Smith states each council office and $500 per planning group. Liz has no specifics. Will speak with Matt about it. T. Cords asks about Marco Gonzalez and potential lawsuits. All special events will require some sort of CEQA review. City looking into it. Applicant may need to pay depending on size and time commitment by city staff. Mayor Kevin Faulconer - Anthony George: Not present. Rep Susan Davis – Not present.

Public Comment on Non-Agenda Items (3 minutes each) John Pilch: City voting to settle lawsuits tomorrow. City recently issued some guidelines for special events.

ACTION ITEMS Subcommittee Appointments – Table for tonight but would like members to consider what committees (below) they wish to be on. Traffic, Flooding, Parks, Bylaws, Adhoc Grantville EIR Committee Informational Presentation: Grantville Focused Plan Amendment - Brian Schoenfisch, Senior Planner Planning, Neighborhoods & Economic Development Department: Updates 4 months ago. Changes/revisions made to maps based on comments. Initial internal EIR review completed (2nd review ongoing). Draft EIR out for public review July 18th. Sept NCPI to vote on plan (hopefully). Brian hands out plan review maps (density and rezone) and associated handouts for NCPI Board and audience. Not changing Alt D (all same). D. Smith asks about CPIOZ if they are for design. B. Schoenfisch states yes. D. Smith asks who writes if Facilities and Finance Plan. Finance Division of Planning Dept. writes it. M. Adams would like the writers of the plan to appear so we can get additional info. Grantville Greens: Update on Medical Marijuana Co-op located at 4410 Glacier - Ron Miller/Nick Hosey: Gone thru full submittal (Phase II). Now in Phase III (full assessment). Waiting for assessment letter to be placed on window of Co-Op. Illegal dispensary opened up across alley and it has been reported. To be voted on by planning committee once approval of city is completed. Talked with Ms. Chaves of Stein School since clinic would be within 1,000 ft. (goes 12 ft. into school) of school. J. Pilch mentions other notices of application. Audience member lives on 50th street says there is enough problems with transients in area. Feels dispensaries not good for area. L. Murray asks if we

need discussion about how we vote when it comes time for voting on this. M. Adams says issue (criteria) already settled by city. J. Pilch states only 4 clinics per councilmember district allowed. Audience member states they have submitted an application in Mission Gorge Rd. Audience member works in public health and concerned about youth use of marijuana. Fears dispensaries legitimize use. States City should get a handle on the illegal clinics before authorizing new ones.

Community Group Reports: • Grantville Stakeholders Group –Matt Adams: Refers to Brian’s Schoenfisch discussion. • Allied Gardens Community Council – Marilyn Reed: Next July 29th at Ascension Lutheran

Church. Speaker not yet arranged.

• Del Cerro Action Council – Jay Wilson: Thurs July 24th 7 pm Temple Emanu-El update on Adobe Falls issues by police Dept.

• San Carlos Area Council – Mickey Zeichick: J. Pilch Next meeting Weds July 2nd Battalion Chief home safety and defensible space. Town hall meeting on July 10th 6 p.m. to discuss Cowles Mtn. issues at temple on Tommy Dr. Police, fire, Councilman’s Sherman’s office, Mission Trails Park potentially in attendance. Home energy upgrade workshop at San Carlos Rec Center this Weds (06/18).

• Mission Trails Regional Park Advisory Board: Did not meet in July.

• Community Planning Groups Committee: Will pass along email about planning group funding. L. Murray suggests giving some funs to Zion Ave Community Church for use of building.
