DGC undertakes consultancy and development assignments relating to energy and the environment with a focus on biogas, natural gas and other gases. The company takes an active part in the development of a green energy system with a high degree of security of supply.

Gas and electricity in dual application DGC has tested hybrid solutions for domestic heating, where electric heating elements are integrated in the gas boiler units. In such dual set up, the consumer can make use of cheap energy when avai-lable and, additionally, supply balancing services to the power grid when required.

DGC and its project partners have inve-stigated how to control and integrate in scale these hybrid solutions in a Smart Energy System.

Focus BioEnergy is an engineering and project company specializing in servicing the indu-stry

in the transaction from fossil fuel to green energy. The company focuses on conversionof biomass into energy by combusting, and thereby creating thermal energy in theform of steam. The steam production can be used in industry as process energy or inthe district heating industry. Furthermore, the steam production can be combined with asteam turbine to generate electricity.

Thus, the company repla-ced the brewery’s process of heating with oil with a process of heating with wood chips sourced from residual wood in the Danish forestry and wood works industry. This solution has enabled the brewery to reduce its carbon impact and minimize its energy expenses.

Bligh Bank, substation12 September 2016, the Bligh Bank top-side was installed on its foundation in the North Sea about 45 km northwest of the Belgian port Zeebrugge. The installation took place 16 months after signing of a contract between Bladt Industries/Semco Maritime and Nobel-wind for the delivery and installation of the Bligh Bank topside. Energising of the 220/33 kV transformer will be the last job to be carried out after which the platform can be delivered to Nobel-wind. The project will be completed by mid-February 2017.
