Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor A/S (BWSC) is a global provider and ope-rator of turnkey power plants based on a wide variety of advanced technologies using traditional or biomass fuels.

The construction of Brigg Renewable Energy Plant in North Lincolnshire, UK, was completed in January 2016. The plant is owned by a joint venture between BWSC, CIP and PensionDanmark and will generate power to approximately 75,000 homes.

Shangri-la in China is getting a new district heating system based on hydro-electric power and heat pumps, making it 100 percent emission-free. The hydro-electric power from a neighbouring mountain area is brought into the city and supplies boilers and heat pumps with electricity. DGC undertakes consultancy and development assignments relating to energy and the environment with a focus on biogas, natural gas and other gases. The company takes an active part in the development of a green energy system with a high degree of security of supply.
DGC participates in Danish and international projects in the areas of research and indu-stry. By contributing to international technical regulation on gas utilization, the company keeps up to date with current rules and standards in the energy and environment sector.

Gas and electricity in dual application DGC has tested hybrid solutions for domestic heating, where electric heating elements are integrated in the gas boiler units. In such dual set up, the consumer can make use of cheap energy when avai-lable and, additionally, supply balancing services to the power grid when required.
DGC and its project partners have inve-stigated how to control and integrate in scale these hybrid solutions in a Smart Energy System.

Focus BioEnergy is an engineering and project company specializing in servicing the indu-stry
in the transaction from fossil fuel to green energy. The company focuses on conversionof biomass into energy by combusting, and thereby creating thermal energy in theform of steam. Brewery VestfyenFocus BioEnergy implemented their solution of switching from fossil fuels to primary biofuels at the brewery Vest-fyen in 2015. Thus, the company repla-ced the brewery’s process of heating with oil with a process of heating with wood chips sourced from residual wood in the Danish forestry and wood works industry. This solution has enabled the brewery to reduce its carbon impact and minimize its energy expenses.

The Holsted biogas plantNGF Nature Energy’s biogas plant in Holsted has a biomass capacity of 393,000 tons per year. Approximately 75 percent of the biomass origins from livestock manure including deep litter and slurry from cattle and pigs. The remaining biomass consists of organic residues from the food indu-stry and supermarkets. The energy produced will be 11-13 million m3 of biomethane per year. The biogas plant was constructed in 2014-2015.

Bligh Bank, substation12 September 2016, the Bligh Bank top-side was installed on its foundation in the North Sea about 45 km northwest of the Belgian port Zeebrugge. The installation took place 16 months after signing of a contract between Bladt Industries/Semco Maritime and Nobel-wind for the delivery and installation of the Bligh Bank topside. Energising of the 220/33 kV transformer will be the last job to be carried out after which the platform can be delivered to Nobel-wind. The project will be completed by mid-February 2017.
