Issues

… complexity of introducing different IT systems across a huge and complex organization

…. Lack of integration between some EH IT systems

…. Lack of integration between EH systems and stakeholder IT systems

Way forward?- Improved integration between IT

applications already in use across the sector

- Clear direction from DoH on which systems should be utilized by agencies in future

Way forward?

Key to success is good collaboration between working clinicians and IT departments

- Fit in with existing clinical workflows and develop new and better ones

- Resourcing for clinicians to be involved with health IT service development
