SPECIAL OLYMPICS MICHIGAN 2019 CAR RAFFLE
Special Olympics Michigan is selling raffle tickets to win a 2019 Ford Escape (S model). Each ticket costs $5 and can be purchased between now and the drawing date of Friday, September 20. The grand prize winner of a 2019 Ford Escape (S model) will be selected during the Open-ing Ceremony of the 2019 State Fall Games, at Sheraton
- Ann Arbor. Winner need not be present to win. Second prize is a $1,000 Visa Gift Card, and third prize is a Lenovo 15” laptop computer. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Mich-igan / The Arc Downriver athletes. Winner responsible for all taxes & licenses must be titled in the USA. Vehicle color may vary. Cash & Check Sales only—please make checks paya-ble to “Special Olympics Michigan” with “Vehicle Raffle” in the memo line. No prize redeemable for cash. The Arc Downriver will be credited with 25% of each ticket sold, or $1.13, against the cost of athletes to attend the 2020 Summer Games. It is free to all Members of The Arc Downriver. Space

On May 18th, grab a friend and join us for a FUN afternoon of Sign Painting at the Arc Downriver. Anyone can create a sign that will look like a professional artist painted it. No previous experience
required! Advanced registration is required to have your custom template made and
to ensure that your materials are ready! Please reserve your spot no later than May 9th.
Once you select your custom design, please notate personalization (if applicable), choose the size of your sign: 12” x 12” or 4” x 24” and on May 18th,, you will be able to choose your own paint colors.
The Arc Downriver will receive a percentage for every painter; these dollars will be used to help cover the cost of presentations by our advocates. Come out, create an amazing sign to take home and help
our advocates teach important skills! Light refreshments will be served to keep those creative juices flowing!
Decorate your space with your sign or give your sign as a gift that will mean so much to a loved one!

Art at The Arc staff / Adventure Club would really appreciate it if all art students pay for their monthly art class during Adventure Club hours. If for some reason you are unable to do this, and have paid at the

Adventure Club is from 5:00 - 7:30 pm. at the Arkay Building, 15221 Eureka in Southgate (next to the Olive Garden)
Art at the Arc Art at the Arc is a therapeutic acrylic painting class.
The 4-week sessions take place during Adventure Club hours (5:30-7:00 pm) and are taught
by Patricia Izzo, one of Downriver’s finest artists.
Artwork completed throughout the year will be displayed each November, when we have the Opening Reception for the Art at The Arc Exhibit.
Class size is limited to enable our instructor to spend more one-on-one time
with each student so please register early as classes fill up quickly.
