Aquatics

As the summer 2015 swim season comes to a close, we're looking backon our fantastic regular season and performances at CHAMPS. TVDCis incredibly lucky to have such an amazing group of kids and parents! Inaddition to our meets, we had several great social events, like going to aFlying Squirrels baseball game, having a huge pasta dinner, swimmingaround with some huge floats for float night and, of course, our team trip towater Country USA! We had a blast this summer and we can't wait for the

next swim season!! Our Dolphin Team had another banner year. We finished theregular season (Meets 1-6) with an impressive 5-1 record. Andall of our age groups received GRAL awards. Our Senior VarsityRelays, Senior Varsity Division, Varsity Division and JuniorVarsity Division all received first-place awards. Not far behind, ourAdvance and Novice Divisions both received second placeawards. What a team! Our swimmers also did a phenomenal job at Champs! The Tuckahoe Village Dolphin Club placed 11th overall (out of 29 teams) and 1st in ourdivision (division 3). If you would like to see all of the CHAMPS results, please visitwww.gralva.com

In addition to having such a fantastic team, we were also luckyto congratulate one of our very own swimmers (and coach!) ona special award he received. Coach Benny Winkelmanreceived the GRAL Len Everett scholarship, a scholarshipawarded to one graduating senior out of the entire league whohas set a good example not only in the sport of swimming butalso in academics. Benny has been involved in several eventshappening around the Center over the years, and he has justcompleted his 14th year with the Weinstein JCC Dolphin Swim

Team (a team record!). We wish him all the best as he leaves for his freshman year at the Universityof Cincinnati in the fall. We'd also like to give a huge thank you to our coaches and volunteers on a job well done thisseason. Congratulations to each and every one of our swimmers--hope to see you at the poolsoon!
