MISSION To provide reliable, cost-effective, value-added and integrated warehousing and logistics solutions in a socially responsible and environment friendly manner.

VISION

To emerge as a leading market facilitator by providing integrated warehousing infrastructure and other logistics services, supporting India’s growing economy with emphasis on stakeholder satisfaction. 1.2 OBJECTIVES � To meet changing needs of agriculture, trade, industry

and other sectors by providing scientific warehousing and related infrastructural facilities.

� To reduce losses during warehousing, handling and distribution.

� To be a major player in providing pest control services using environmental friendly methods.

� To assist in implementation of Warehousing (Development & Regulation) Act, 2007 with a view to expand credit potential of warehoused goods through banking institutions and NBFCs.

� To plan and diversify across the logistics value chain, through forward and backward integration in areas such as port handling, procurement and distribution, cold chain, warehousing financing, 3PL, consultancy services, multi-modal transport, etc.

� To achieve global presence in the warehousing and related logistics.

2.0 COMMITMENTS BY CENTRAL WAREHOUSING CORPORATION

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION CRITERIA & TARGETS

In fulfillment of MoU, CWC shall strive to achieve the performance targets for the year 2012-13 as per Annexure-IV. The important commitments of CWC are:- � Create 210000 MT additional warehousing capacity. � Invest Rs. 30 crore in warehousing infrastructure in

DCP States. � Create Storage Capacity for Cooperative Societies with

an investment of Rs. 15 crore. � Set up of a Referral Central Grain Analysis Laboratory

during the year. � Train 240 State Functionaries on Food Storage

Management keeping in view the National Food Security Act.

3.0 COMMITMENTS/ASSISTANCE FROM THE GOVERNMENT The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (Department of Food & Public Distribution) shall: � Assist in the settlement of the CWC’s outstanding dues

from the Food Corporation of India (FCI).

� Endeavour to expedite revision of the storage tariff applicable to FCI’s foodgrain stocks stored in CWC’s warehouses on the basis of recommendations of the Ministry of Finance.

� Facilitate the delegation of powers to the Central

Warehousing Corporation as allowed to Schedule A Mini Ratna Category I PSEs under the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) guidelines.
