Although Carmen’s has a South Asian Chef and staff on duty, you may wish to rent our facilities and provide your own caterer. Under these circumstance you caterer must supply their own buffet equipment, platters, serving utensils, warming units, pots, pans, etc., unless otherwise negotiated with Carmen’s. In order to facilitate a flawless event, Carmen’s requires that the Caterer and Client read and understand the following guidelines with regard to our policies

on outside catering and food service providers.

all outside caterers must be pre-approved by Carmen’s and must show proof ofcurrent health department certificate

valid liability insurance coveragevalid WSIB coverage

all outside caterers must come prepared withCaterer’s own pot, pans, trays, cooking utensils, etc must be provided by the client’s food service provider and a complete and detailed list of all equipment and serving utensils being brought into our facility must be submitted to Carmen’s upon entry to our facility for example number of chaffing set and or warming units complete with sterno, number and type of buffet serving utensils, number and or type of pans including patron’s own liner pans, stainless

steel insert pans, etc.

all food items being served must be submitted to Carmen’s at least one month in advance of the event date

all food items prepared and ready to serve

rental costs In some instances Carmen’s can make arrangements for the rental of the following items

chaffing dishes $25.00 each + HST including 2 sterno per unitserving spoons $2.00 each + HST

large glass bowls $2.50 each + HSTlarge oval servers $4.50 each + HST

shallow roasting pans $20.00 each + HSTdeep roasting pans $25.00 each + HST

In addition the client and/or outside caterer agrees to the following: Use of Carmen’s deep fryers to finish any menu items at an additional cost of $100.00 per unit plus HST & will must be paid in full by the client prior to the use of the fryers. Patron’s own caterer must supply their own vegetable oils for the deep fryers, the outlined cost is a rental fee for the use of the fryers only. Use of Kitchen, Stoves & Ovens for re-heating of food entrées is an additional cost of

$400.00 plus HST & will must be paid in full by the client prior to the use of the equipment.
