Memshield 200 panelboards are supplied with designated

incomer and ready for installation. Required single pole or

triple pole outgoing MCCBs should be specified separately

from the table. Main busbar short circuit rating 50kA for

1 second. Accessories including meter packs are listed on

page 31.

Complete panelboards listed below are supplied with a full

length door to prevent unauthorised access to main

incomer as well as outgoing MCCBs.

A C C E S S O R I E S

METER PACKS

Standard meter packs can be fitted at the top of each board and are available

across the range to enable monitoring of both current and voltage levels. Each

pack includes:- suitably calibrated ammeter and voltmeter allied to rotary,

phase selection switches, red/yellow/blue phase indicator lamps, drilled

replacement front plate to carry instrumentation, strenghtening cross piece to

take meter pack and rear cable cover for meter pack. Packs are supplied fully

wired with cable ties and loom to enable connection to circuit fuses and CTs,

which are part of the pack, and are fitted below the main incomer. A

replacement incoming cable shield is also supplied which has cable entries on

both left and right and will shroud the CTs and circuit fuses.

The ammeter allows the user to monitor current through the red, yellow or

blue phases.

It should be noted that, unless otherwise advised, a meter pack will be

supplied/fitted to match the full rating of the incomer. This may mean that the

ammeter scale is inappropriate if the incomer is derated. Contact the

customer services department for further information.

The voltmeter can monitor voltage across phases as follows:- blue/red,

yellow/blue, red/yellow, red/neutral, yellow/neutral, blue/neutral.

For information on alternative configurations of meter packs, such as digital

multi-function metering, the factory will be pleased to advise.

EXTENSION BOXES

Memshield 2 MPS provides the choice of creating asimple panelboard consisting only of an incoming moduleand outgoing module or a comprehensive panelboardsystem. This could incorporate horizontal busbar modulesthat allow you to extend the system with a wide variety ofoutgoing modules, ancillary devices, accessories and evenenables you to extend the system furtherin the future.

Memshield 2 MPS is essentially a

panelboard or switchboard in modular form.

By choosing from the wide variety of modules

you are able to create the ideal panelboard

system for your application. Memshield 2

will provide far more flexibility than

conventional panelboards and provide a

lower cost alternative to an equivalent

cubicle switchboard. Individual modules can

be conveniently delivered and easily handled

on site obviating the need for special access

arrangements or handling equipment.

Site assembly of modules is uncomplicated and

a panelboard system can be quickly produced.

Memshield 2 MPS can also be extended to

accommodate any future requirements.

In simple terms Memshield 2 MPS provides a

choice of:

Standard SPN type A distribution boards are available in six

sizes with a choice of 2, 4, 7, 10, 13, or 16 outgoing ways. DP

versions of type A distribution boards are also available having

5 or 8 DP outgoing ways. A wide range of incomers can be

fitted to allow for the flexibility needed in modern installations.

Split load and dual tariff SPN type A distribution boards are

available with up to 19 outgoing ways.

They comply fully with BS5486:Pt 12 & 13 and BSEN60439-3.

INCOMING DEVICES

100A lugs; 100A SPSN switch-disconnector; 100A SPSN

RCCB. For full range of SPSN RCCBs suitable for use as

AMSL64/37 and AMDT74 distribution boards can be mounted

on top of any type B distribution board. A clean earth kit can

Memshield 2 double pole distribution boards have been

developed for specialist applications.

They allow for single pole and switched neutral MCBs to be

fitted on all outgoing circuits which is necessary for the control

FUSED COMBINATION SWITCH INCOMERS

TPN type B distribution boards are also available with a choice of

fitted TP or TPSN FCS incomers. The FCS incomer uses MEM BS88

fuses, which allow the unit to be fused from 2-125A. This is a benefit

for applications where the load may increase in the future, as the FCS

can be re-fused accordingly.

The exclusive use of MEM fuselinks in this equipment will extend thewarranty period to 3 years.

These distribution boards comply fully with BS5486 : Pt 12 and

BSEN60439-3.

SPLIT LOAD BOARDS

Split load TPN type B distribution boards are factory fitted with a

main 100A switch-disconnector and a 30mA RCCB. Please consult

our Technical Services department for details of other incoming

device options.

MODULAR ENCLOSURES

Memshield 2 modular enclosures can be used to house Memshield

2 protective and command devices. Enclosures are available to

house from 2 to 45 x 18mm modules in moulded or metal

construction up to IP55.

Up to three Memshield 2 type A pan assemblies can be fitted into

an enclosure.

To select a suitable enclosure, select the devices required and

calculate the amount of 18mm modules required, then select the

enclosure that can accommodate at least that many 18mm modules.

BMX 15 module enclosures can be mounted onto AM13 or any

Memshield 2 TPN distribution board. Distribution board accessories

e.g. door lock kit are suitable for use with BMX type enclosures.

BMXDC enclosures are fitted with earth and neutral bars as

standard. Additional earth and neutral bars for 30 and 45 way

enclosures are available for specific applications.

Metal enclosures will accommodate all modular devices, ie;

MCBs, RCCBs, RCBOs, fuse modules and command devices.

Moulded enclosures 4/6 QEL, 4EME and AM1SL will not

accept RCBOs.

4EME will accept command devices and TPSN RCCBs only.

CABLE EXTENSION BOXES

Cable extension boxes are for use with larger cables or for special

applications e.g. metering, etc. They can be fitted top and/or

bottom. All 200A type incomers include a cable extension box

where necessary.

All enclosures and extension boxes can be fitted top and/or bottom

of distribution boards in any quantity.

applications by using the appropriate kit except 24 way TPN.

FEATURES

Memshield 2 type B flush mounting kits can be adjusted to

accommodate slightly uneven mounting surfaces.

PAN ASSEMBLIES

Memshield pan assemblies offer a high degree of flexibility for

custom applications.

SPN types are available with 4, 7, 10, 13, and 16 ways. DP types

with 5, 6, 8, 12, 18 and 24 ways. TPN types with 4, 6, 8, 12,16

and 24 TP ways.

Where the switching of outgoing neutrals on 3 phase pan

assemblies is required, eg: for switching circuits in hazardous

areas, please contact us.

Refer to pages 52, 54 and 55 for incoming devices.

Add suffix ‘P’ to incomer kits BMS2001N, BMS2003 and

BMIK2003 to order kit without cable box.

Refer to pages 61 and 68 for outgoing devices.

FEATURES

Memshield 2 pan assemblies are suitable for inclusion in other

factory built assemblies and as replacements for distribution board

interiors. Pan assemblies feature fully shrouded busbars. The

busbars can be connected by using a busbar connector kit. SPN

distribution boards can be adapted to take modular control devices

using a busbar kit to adapt the busbar, see page 60.
