Mendoza, Argentina In the heart of Chacras de Coria, Lujan de Cuyo you will find an ancient winery that dates back to 1921, when Clos de Chacras belonged to Bautista Geronimo Gargantini and his son Don Bautista. These prestigious and visionary winemakers founded two of the most famous wineries of the time. This dynasty is held and continued today by Don Bautista’s granddaughter and her husband, who work with the same passion to continue the challenging but satisfying job of making superior quality wines. Clos de Chacras is a boutique winery whose goal is to reach the best expression of each wine, always in reduced amounts, achieving the highest level of control in each stage. These efforts have been well-awarded as all of our wines have achieved high ratings and won medals in both national and international contests. Clos de Chacras takes special care of the vineyards. High altitude vines as well as delicate hand-harvesting and grape-sorting allow us to obtain the best grapes in optimal condition at the beginning of our winemaking process. The wines go through malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and are ultimately bottle-aged in a 1921 underground cellar which can be visited by our guests. At the restaurant, you can enjoy tasting five of our premium wines paired with an exquisite six course meal… where the past and present meet in a unique experience for your senses.

In the heart of Chacras de Coria, Lujan de Cuyo you will find an ancient winery that dates back to 1921, when Clos de Chacras belonged to Bautista Geronimo Gargantini and his

son Don Bautista. These prestigious and visionary winemakers founded two of the most famous wineries of the time.

This dynasty is held and continued today by Don Bautista’s granddaughter and her husband, who work with the same passion to continue the challenging but satisfying job of

making superior quality wines.

Clos de Chacras is a boutique winery whose goal is to reach the best expression of each wine, always in reduced amounts,

achieving the highest level of control in each stage. These efforts have been well-awarded as all of our wines have achieved high ratings and won medals in both national

Clos de Chacras takes special care of the vineyards. High altitude vines as well as delicate hand-harvesting and grape-sorting allow us to obtain the best grapes in optimal

condition at the beginning of our winemaking process. The wines go through malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and are ultimately bottle-aged in a 1921 underground cellar

which can be visited by our guests.

At the restaurant, you can enjoy tasting five of our premium wines paired with an exquisite six course meal… where the

past and present meet in a unique experience for your senses.
