members, veterans, their
families and those serving
them wiht the skills to
recognize peer distress,
provide support and refer
individuals to mental health
services when needed.

1 ) A ful l-day, interactive workshop : Th is free
workshop features US veteran & service
member instructors, interact ive act iv it ies, ro le-
play demonstrat ions and v ideos to educate
part ic ipants in recogniz ing s igns of poor mental
health and support ing one another .
2 ) A paper-back MHFA manual : A l l part ic ipants
receive a free copy of the Mental Health
F i rstAid manual which they can use to remember
core content & cr is is de-escalat ion steps to
help those in d istress.
3 ) Child-care per-diems : Registrants are
e l ig ib le to receive one chi ld-care per-diem per
fami ly provid ing $15 per hour ($120 for those
who attend the fu l l -day tra in ing. )

MHFA Trainings are
led by veterans,
guardsmen & women
