Mentorship
Program
the mentorship program
The Colosoul Group Inc. is a not-for-profit media and arts training organisation run entirely by a dedicated group of young volunteers. We have created a Mentorship Program where young people gain valuable hands-on experience in the media and the arts sector, through the creation of publications, live media and events for youths.
The initial program extends for 6-12 weeks during which the participants can choose their core skills for training. This requires a committment from the mentee and the mentor upholding the professional development offered through the Colosoul Group Inc.
At the end of this, participants can choose to extend the training period up to six months to either continue training in the chosen skill or learn other roles within the organisation.

What does the program accomplish? Our Mentorship Program provides the opportunity for career involvement, to build confidence, and to grow leadership within the organisation. The Mentorship
Program operates in a professional community environment, where participants work with their peers and learn from industry professionals to develop their skills.
The program is designed to suit all young people with an interest in the media and the arts industry; including university
students and recent graduates, high schools students, disadvantaged youths, and Indigenous Australians.
the mentorship program
MentorsEvery participant in the Mentorship Program can be mentored by an industry professional. Group mentoring will take place where mentors are matched to the skills the mentees hope to gain and goals they set to achieve. An agreement will be set up between the mentor and mentee, where they will determine how often they meet. Mentors will be required to attend monthly meetings to discuss their progress and suitability to the mentees.
Participants who complete the Mentorship Program have the opportunity to become ambassadors as leaders and mentors for future participants. We are always looking for talented people from a variety of background, whether it be in the media and the arts industries to marketing and events management, to come on board and contribute to our Mentorship Program by mentoring young people. Mentors will arrange with The Colosoul Group Inc. when they would like to contribute their time, and how they would like to work with young people.
What does the program accomplish?
Program evaluation
Participants are required to set goals and discuss these goals with their mentor at the start of the Program. A self-evaluation system will take place, where participants write entries into an online journal to record the tasks they completed each day. This ongoing evaluation encourages participants to keep working towards their goals and committed to the program.
Achievement
The Colosoul Group Inc. is aligned with a registered training organisation and upon the completion of the Program each participant can receive a Program Certificate”.
