We predominantely service the upper North Island region, ranging from Auckland, to the greater Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and Taupo.

Our breadth of experience ensures all our catering sites are well supported from the kitchen, to operations, front-of-house service, and shared services support.

MG employs a full-time dietitian to provide oversight on food safety and menu development. MG strongly believes in using fresh fruit and vegetables, making real food and limiting the use of processed foods.

Staff are employed on permanent, casual, and temporary contracts with 100 permanent staff in Hamilton and 100 in Auckland. A further 390 are employed on a regular on-call basis and this can flex up to 650 for large scale events.

We have a history of low staff turnover, which allows succession planning through identifying key individuals and roles. Specialised training continually lifts the staff skill and experience base, enabling career planning and internal promotion opportunities.

MG has a well-structured HR department which handles recruitment and staff training needs, including Health and Food Safety with a specialised training matrix.

We are proactive in growing the business and creating long-term business partnerships. The flat organisational structure allows for rapid innovation, flexibility and an ability to make fast strategic decisions.

In the last five years, we have demonstrated the ability to deliver on major projects.

MG is a dynamic business that is constantly growing and evolving.

Dual ‘festival’ design, development and builds at the HSBC NZ Sevens at FMG Stadium Waikato for 2018 & 2019.

Development of Claudelands Event Centre (CEC) from design and concept planning to implementation. CEC is now regarded as one of the top conferences and event venues in NZ.

The ‘Montana Group’ parent brand launched in 2017/18 as the overarching name for the Montana family of brands.

MG are the joint venture partner with Auckland Zoo to grow both retail and function catering. The revamp of Old Elephant House into a cafe/bistro has already proved a hit with Zoo visitors.

In partnership with Glownet, Village has made ‘Village Cashless’ using RFID technology for cashless purchasing at major events with pre/post event topups and refunds.and live reporting.

A unique partnership with Mojo Coffee has established Superfino Café at the University of Auckland. This success signalled our presence in the retail/café market.

The very successful delivery of bar service for Auckland City Limits music festival in both 2016 & 2018.

The Montana Group businesses and brands have grown from success - firstly, of the Waikato business, Montana Catering 2001 Limited and later the Auckland business, Montana Catering Auckland Limited.

The Group is now recognised as the largest, privately-owned caterer in New Zealand and is jointly owned by Directors Dallas Fisher and Troy Reid.

TERMS & CONDIT IONS

ADDIT IONAL FEES

Some serviced functions will require additional staff

to be engaged as required, for a minimum of

four hours commitment. Costs indicated are per

staff member, per hour and include time engaged

during set up, function duration and pack out and

travel time.

Professional chef - $38 + GST per hour

Licensed beverage manager - $38 + GST per hour

Front of house staff - $28 + GST per hour

BUFFETS

Buffet meals are always prepared and served

in volumes that ensure ample food is available

for the confirmed guest number.

Additional guests dining from the buffet will be

charged for. In some cases, there will be excess

food however, due to Health and Safety reasons,

this excess food will be removed at the end of

service and will not be available for guests to

take home, in-kepping with our Food Control Plan.

In addition, any buffet food service will be available

to the guests for a maximum of one hour to ensure

all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.

PUBL IC HOL IDAYS

A 15% surcharge on all food ordered and beverage

consumed will apply on New Zealand recognised

public holidays.

CANCELLAT ION

Cancellation of the catering within seven days of

the function/event will incur a 50% charge of the

arrangements to date.

Cancellation within 48 hours of the function/event

will incur a 100% charge of the arrangements to

date including ordered, prepared food and

rostered staff.
