Volunteer Reader Program - When caring individuals present books in a fun way, children grow to associate reading with pleasure. By becoming a Read Aloud volunteer, you will show students that reading is an enjoyable lifetime activity. The Read Aloud program asks all volunteers to attend a one-time orientation on January 13 at 10:00 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. at the Wood County Schools Board of Education at 1210 13th Street, Parkersburg. The Marriage Course - The Marriage Course will be starting February 7 from 6-8 pm for 7 consecutive Fridays in the Conference Room. See the enclosed insert for more information.

Women’s Care Center - The Women’s Care Center is looking for a Mission Liaison at Emmanuel Baptist. This person should have a passion for the unborn and the sanctity of human life. This person would be knowledgeable about the work and services provided at Women’s Care Center (education provided by WCC). They will disseminate information about the ministry at Emmanuel. This person would be the go between the church and WCC. If you are interested, call Janetta Ross at 304-485-7122.

The 2020 Flower Calendar is on the receptionist’s office window. If you would like to provide flowers for our worship services to the Glory of God or in honor or memory of a loved one, please sign up on this calendar. These flowers are a beautiful enhancement to our worship service.

EBC House Band forming! Do you or did you ever play an instrument? Plans are in the works to form an ensemble who will play at an upcoming inter-generational event in February. Conductor Will Cosby will provide the music. Interested players may sign up on the insert in today’s bulletin.

EBC Library - Now that the holidays are finished, all family has gone home, and cold weather has set in, what are you going to do with your time? EBC has a spiritual library that can help you with this. What better time to renew your commitment to building a closer relationship with God than during this New Year season?
