Door and Worktop Care

Your Mereway Bathroom is of high quality and should therefore give you years of pleasure, however over zealous cleaning may cause damage to your bathroom doors.

Many strong abrasive and solvent cleaners are unsuitable for the various surface materials used in furniture production which may come as a surprise to you when there is so much advertising by manufacturers of cleaning products.

By following our simple guidelines we can help you keep your Mereway Bathroom looking as good as new for years to come.

Aegean, Adriatic, Atlantic, Java and Pacific

These MFC and foil wrapped doors require cleaning using a soft cloth. To remove surface marks use a 5% soap to 95% water solution wiping with a damp (not wet) cloth and finally drying with a soft clean cloth. Avoid using furniture polish, abrasive or solvent on the doors as this may damage the surface.

Adriatic, Strada, Segreto and Sargasso White

These doors are supplied with a protective film purely to safeguard them during cabinet production and installation. Remove this film after fitting.

Dust using a soft cloth and avoid using furniture polish, abrasive or solvent on the doors as this may damage the painted surface.

Sargasso Oak and Walnut

The lacquer finish on our Sargasso timber doors makes them resistant to moisture but not waterproof therefore we recommend that you buff the surface using a soft dry cloth. As Sargasso is made of a natural material, continued exposure to strong direct sunlight may cause the doors to lighten over a long period of time.

Worktops

To restore the just fitted look to your Solid Surface or Lustre worktop we recommend the use of our Care & Maintenance kit, the details of which can be found in this Product Guide.

Maintenance and AftercareDue to the nature of the materials used, bathroom furniture will be adversely affected by water spillage or heavy condensation by close proximity to shower fitting, sauna or steam cabinet. To avoid any deterioration in the furniture or worktops it is important to wipe dry any excess moisture. We recommend adequate ventilation by installing an extractor fan to reduce the harmful effects of condensation. For further advice please consult your bathroom specialist.

InstallationThe installation should be in accordance with our fitting instructions. It is important that a waterproof sealant is used to seal any raw edges especially around basins and worktop joints. It is particularly important to seal along bath panel edges both vertically and horizontally.

ReturnsYour Mereway Bathroom order is created specifically for your requirements, however cancelled orders or items that are no longer required can be returned for 70% credit. if returned in a re-salable condition and within 4 weeks of delivery of the item.

GuaranteeAll Mereway Bathrooms furniture, ceramic and brassware carry a 5 year guarantee from date of purchase arising in our company’s reasonable opinion from defects in design, manufacture or quality of materials. This guarantee does not apply to products that have not been installed in accordance with our fitting instructions or guidelines on maintenance and aftercare, and covers products in domestic use by the consumer and not commercial use.

In the unlikely event of product failure we will offer a free replacement part or nearest equivalent. Liability is limited to individual products and does not cover consequential loss or damage, further refitting or financial compensation. The provisions of this guarantee do not affect customers’ statutory rights.
