    This document collects a number of various merits for

    changeling chronicles from across the different systems.

    What is presented here are the Merit names, dot costs and

    prerequisite costs.

    Since they cannot be replicated here in a way that

    would remove the need to purchase the books, I have left

    the content blank. Instead, content has been provided if

    the merit is wholly original, or if the flavour text has been

    altered to allow the Merit from another system to work inchangeling (some examples being merits from Ghouls).

    Facade ( to ;special)

    Prerequisite: Hollow

    Effect: Your character Hollow opens up onto property

    owned directly by the changelings. This could be a shop

    front, a hidden shack, or an estate. The dots of this merit

    represent the Size of the space that it takes up in the real

    world. This represents a place in the real world where your

    character can go where no one else ever goes. Whatever

    this hidden place is, the character can access it in near-

    absolute secrecy and squirrel away her little trinkets

    without fear of detection. When someone tries to track her

    back to her den that person suffers a penalty equal to thedots in this Merit.

    By extension, the Size and Security of the outward

    manifestation of the Hollow are determined by the Size

    and Wards of the Hollow itself. To begin with, a Facade

    can only have a Size equivalent to one, but the owner of

    the Hollow can extend the size of this by assigning

    additional dots bought for their Hollow to the Facade.

    That is, if the changeling has a Hollow with Size 3, and

    buys a Facade, they could increase the Facade to 2 by

    buying the fourth dot of Size and assigning it to the Facade.

    In this way the total Size of the Facade and Hollow can

    equal 6, but it will always be divided between the two.

    They may have a Facade of Size 5 and a Hollow only Size1, representing a vast mansion with a secret hollow cache,

    or the inverse representing a small wardrobe that opens up

    onto a vast valley .

    An archive is located in a Hollow and is protected by

    the Hollows wards. This will manifest in a manner

    shrouded by the Mask. Barriers manifest as strong locking

    systems, veils of invisibility become a surveillance systems.

    Special: Characters who share a Hollow can also share

    Facade dots, with each contributing to its area of

    knowledge. These characters each receive the full benefits

    of the Facade. It may happen that changelings suffer afalling-out, in which case one or more might be asked to

    forfeit their research privileges by the others. Those who

    are banned lose whatever dots they contributed, unless an

    agreement is worked out to split the Archives, allowing

    outcasts to take their areas of knowledge with them.

    Shared Facades should be marked with an asterisk ( * ) on

    your character sheet. See the description of the Hollow

    Merit for details on how to allocate dots.

    The sport of parkour began in France, and has quickly

    spread to other parts of the world. Parkour demands a lev el

    of athleticism from its practitioners that few other sports

    do. The purpose of parkour, which is also called freerunning or urban running, is to move as quickly as

    possible through an environment with a variety of

    obstacles, sprinting through the terrain and using a variety

    of climbing techniques, leaps, rolls and other athletic

    movements to navigate. Watching an expert traceur (one

    of the terms for someone who practices parkour) at work is

    awe- inspiring, like something out of an action film.

    Though the technique comes from well-disciplined

    training, imbedding a certain body of movements and

    techniques into the parkours instinctive reactions, the

    goal is a flawless, seamless flow of movement from one

    obstacle to the next, with hardly any pause in speed or

    movement.

    many hardships, most still feel the cold and the heat. Most

    still have to keep warm. A changeling with this Merit

    doesnt feel the cold or heat at all.

    Effect: The changeling's former identity belongs to

    someone well-known. The True Fae are often ignorant of

    the nuances of human culture, and dont often take intoaccount the significance of who they steal. However, often

    as the case may be, the changeling has returned not quite

    looking the same as before even to mortal eyes.

    The changeling has less of the human world about him

    and sees the world more as an animal thanks to the

    changelings durance. Animals sense this, whether by scent

    or some other awareness, and they accept him as one of

    their own.

    changeling can slip past the Mask, and others can glimpse

    your characters true grotesqueness, but the fact is . . . hes

    ugly anyway. The Mask of your character is in some way

    hideous.

    Network ( to )Prerequisite: Changeling, member of a freehold

    Like mortal trade networks, changelings have a numberof commodities that they like to exchange amongst

    themselves. These commodities relate to various products,

    and items that have a specific relevance to changeling

    existence. A changeling with this Merit has a strongly

    developed network with a number of other changeling

    guilds and even Goblin Markets. He has sufficient

    influence with these groups that he can gather and collect

    the products of their trade with relat ive ease.

    This Merit is like the Contacts Merit, in that each dot

    represents one group with which the changeling maintains

    trade relations, and specifically relates to the Fae procuring

    any items or substances of a faerie nature.

    Each dot represents one single type of resources with

    which your character has connections to and from which

    he may draw. If he has Network , his dots might be

    assigned to an associate in a Goblin Fruit guild, a purveyor

    of Faerie Dust with the changeling mafia syndicates and a

    negotiation with a weaponsmith conclave. Networks can

    include individuals whom you or the Storyteller defines,

    but more likely they comprise an array of people, especially

    guilds. The Network Merit relates strictly to faerie

    products. Networks do not perform services for your

    character or rush to his aid. Those actions are the purview

    of other Merits such as A llies and Retainer.

    Gaining such objects requires a successful Manipulation+ Persuasion or Socialize roll, depending on the

    relationship between your character and the targets in

    question. Penalties might apply if the information sought is

    hard to acquire (-1 to -3), restricted (-3), or if sharing it

    could get people in trouble or harmed ( - 3 to 5).

    Dramatic Failure: The network produces shoddy or

    dangerous products that manage to land the character in

    trouble, this might be faerie dust imbued with homicidal

    memories, or unstable tokens.

    Failure: The network doesnt have the product your

    character needs.

    Success: The network is able to provide some product

    thats helpful to your character.Exceptional Success: The network is able to provide

    products of exceptional quality or number.

    Maybe its something brought on by Glamour, or

    perhaps its the perverse function she served for her

    Keeper. Regardless, the changeling now has an intangibleundercurrent of sexual power and experience that those

    exposed to her cannot help but notice. This carnal aura

    can be a potent tool in taking advantage of weak- willed or

    lustful individuals.

    [Ghouls] A good servant responds unerringly to her masters

    emotional state. With this Merit, a changeling holds an

    emotional connection with their Keeper. Some

    changelings develop this ability over decades of service,

    while a few rare ones seem to do so almost immediately .

    Your character has official command over a staff of

    employees. These people are mundane mortals, but theyre

    also professionally trained and capable of taking on a hostof roles. A n aristocratic household, for example, might

    employ a number of maids, valets and cooks, while a social

    predator might have publicists, investigators and lawyers

    on the payroll.

    Your character performed her daily duty with such

    apparent single- minded purpose that she seems to fade into

    the periphery of the Keeper's perception. Granted, Keepers

    rarely notice changeling servants anyway, but this Merit

    reflects a feature of a changelings service that is truly

    unusual and useful. Your character has trained herself to

    notice details without appearing to pay them any heed at

    the time, storing them for retrieval from memory later. Shemakes an excellent spy, retaining information without

    consciously noticing it, so that even the most discerning

    subjects tend to ignore her.

    Effect: Your characters thread stands out in the skein of

    fate. It may be cut short through tragedy or catastrophe,

    but until then, she has the ability to weave it into a sound

    pattern of her choosing. She is fated for great triumphs, and

    this Merit helps her achieve them. Like any true hero, shefinds success a little more easily than mere mortals. In true

    heroic fashion, she also has a fatal flaw no matter how

    strong her destiny might be, it has one weakness others can

    use to tear it apart.
