Stability under loadThe strong access floor of steel
In addition to high strength and fracture resistance of access floors, extremely robust material properties are required in production areas, clean rooms, data centers or measuring rooms.At the same time there are high demands for flexibility to meet the requirements of new technologies or the reconfiguration of rooms. Furthermore, it is necessary to accommodate different service lines da-mage-free and to adapt them to any mo-dification without great effort. The steel access floor of MERO-TSK has proven itself in many fields. The floor panels can be combined with a variety of different floor coverings.

Thefloorpanel type3 /steelconsistsofasteel tubing frame provided with a high-gradesteel cover plate. The conductive powdercoatingprotectsagainstabrasionandcorro-sion.The same size matching of floor coveringand steel cover plate guaranteesmaximizeedgeaccuracy.

Construction principle
Substructure
Thesubstructurecanbeused for all paneltypes.Theprecisionsteelpedestalsareadjustableinheightandprotectedagainstcorrosionbygalvanizationandpassivation.Thepedestalbaseplatesaregluedtothesubfloorandcanbedowelledonrequest.Forinstallationthepedestalheadsarepro-videdwithsounddampeningandconductivegasketswhichfixthepanel.Ifhighfrequen-cyshieldingisrequiredgasketscanbesup-pliedwithmetalrivets.The use of galvanized stringers increasestheloadbearingcapacityaswellastheho-rizontalstabilityofthewholesystemsothattheaccessfloorisformingaself-supportingconstructionevenwithout being connectedto the wall. The stringers can also be in-stalledafterwards.The screwing of stringers on the pedestalhead avoids frequency interferences. Thestringers are available as U-type or M-typestringer for lateral stability and as C-typestringerforincreasedloadsandlateralsta-bility.

FlexibilityToguaranteehighflexibilitypanelswithfac-toryappliedfloorcoveringsshouldbeused.Thuselementswithbuilt-inunitscaneasilybeexchangedagainststandardpanels.
Floor coveringsThe system type 3 can be provided withmanydifferentfloorcoverings.Elasticfloor coverings suchasPVC, linole-umand rubber aswell as laminate canbeappliedatfactory.Textile floor coverings can be firmlyappliedorlooselylaid.Thesuitabilityoffirm-ly applied floor coverings must be tested.MERO-TSK has many years of experienceand can test the suitability of new floorcoveringsintheirownlaboratories.Perforatedsteelpanelsincombinationwithairpermeablecarpetscanalsobeusedforlaminarairflowventilation.
Built-in unitsCutouts for built-in units as power supplyunits,airoutletsorsimilarcanbecarriedoutinthefactoryandonsite.
Connections to the wallConnectionsof theaccessfloorsystemstothewallorascendingconstructionpartsarecarried out by special self-adhesive foamtapes which avoid impact sound trans-missionandsealstheconnectionjoints.
