    passed away peacefullyon May 19, 2011 sur-rounded by family atCentral OkanaganHospice House inKelowna at the age of 80.

    Alvin was prede-ceased by his brothers Harvey, Hanson,Tommy, Howard & sister Thelma. He is sur-vived by and will be dearly missed by hisloving wife Doreen of Merritt, brother Melvin(Olive), sisters Ila & Verna; 2 sons Terry(Debbie) Park, Dale Park and one daughter

    Judy (Ben) Byer & 5 much loved grandchil-dren Katie, Kelly, Jimmy, Danny & Abigail.

    Alvin and his wife Doreen moved to BCin the mid-1950s, and during the early dayshe put in long days near Douglas LakeRanch at Camp 3 and then would put in asecond full day in the evenings tirelessly

    building a home for his family. He went onto work for many years at CraigmontMines and later the Dept of Highways.

    Alvin & Doreen had 56 wonderfulyears together. And he was immenselyproud of his children and grandchildren.

    Upon retirement he continued to behardworking & generous. He volunteeredtime and energy to help with buildingprojects at the Legion Hall and the LowerNicola Community Hall. When Doreenmoved into Coquihalla Gillis House Alvinvolunteered there to help with activities,watering flowers and other tasks.

    An open house memorial tea celebrat-ing Alvin's life will be held at the Merritt

    Civic Centre on Saturday June 4, 1-3:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may

    be made to the Canadian Cancer Society,Gillis House or the BC Children's Hospital.

    The family would like to extend theirheartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses andvolunteers at the Kelowna Cancer Center, thestaff on 4B at the Kelowna General Hospitaland the staff at the Central OkanaganHospice House. A special thank you to Dr.Fyles for her concern & care. Condolencesmay be sent to the family at www.mem.com

    It is with deepest

    sadness that I mustinform all Morris'friends that he passed away in the earlymorning of May 26th. He worked in hisshop right up until the last day. He fell illWed. morning and passed away the follow-ing morning at 1:30am, with his daughter

    by his side. He passed quietly and verypeacefully. Morris was predeceased by hislong time partner Margaret Roche, hisolder sister Virginia Littlejohn and his older

    brother Earl Snider, and granddaughterDestiny. His ex-wife Vergie has stayedfriends with him and has been helping himwith the house before he passed.

    Dad is survived by his 2 children,Clifton & Charlene; grandchildren Cheraty,Kryste, Victor, Victoria, Shawn and Jesse;great grandchildren Payton & Drayke, Alex,

    Jacob and Gage. Dad loved time with his lit-tle great grandchildren. His two dogs Maxand Magoo are missing him so much!

    SPECIAL thanks to Carol Fulcher forkeeping his humor up whenever he endedup in the hospital. Your love and caringmeant so much to dad and family! To Dr.Bester for the medical care he gave Dad thruall his ups & downs.. Dad had just movedinto Gillis House and loved being there withall the wonderful staff. Some were a bit moreinvolved with him, and we love you all forkeeping him so happy and active.

    To ALLDad's friends, you all have beena great part of his life, if you were someone he liked then you were surely blessedwith his friendship. Never knew anyonethat Dad did not like!!!
