Greetings from Science City!!
As we ring out 2015 and step into 2016, I would like to first wish everyone a very Happy New Year.
2015 was an important year for PGSC as it marked the tenth anniversary of our opening to the public. We strengthened our outreach by the launch of Mobile Science Exhibition which has already reached to more than 90,000 people giving them an opportunity to learn through the process of interaction & discovery. We expect to welcome more visitors to our Mobile Exhibition Bus in 2016. Another area where we expect to see you in large numbers is the very interesting ‘Bird Gallery’ which is coming up in Science City and is expected to be opened to the public shortly. Thriving in every corner of the globe, birds are the most diverse land vertebrates on the planet. The Bird gallery intends to capture the staggering diversity of birds with stunning models of National & state birds, exhibits on bird sounds/calls, eggs & nests and information on critically endangered species. The gallery is of special importance to Punjab as the state is home to almost forty percent of migratory and resident birds found in India, in its various natural and man- made wetlands
The Science City is yours to explore. This is a great time to visit us and listen to, touch and interact with our science exhibits and experience the exciting shows. We are sure that it will bring a smile on your face, and will help you look at yourself and the world differently, enticing you to come back.
Please share your suggestions; we value your feedback.
2016- a new year, a new start and a way to go. Once again wishing our readers a successful and glorious New Year from the Science City family.
