Effort Roll - At ATMS we value student effort greatly and feel this is an employable, lifelong skill. Students who achieve Effort Roll also receive a cerficate and have their names posted on the bullen board in the school foyer. It is imperave to note that ALL students can achieve this honour. Students of Character - Another focus of ATMS is to encourage all students to show character. ATMS has adopted six character terms that we acvely encourage students to demonstrate, they are: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Courage, Empathy, and Service. A total of 6 students per pod of 60 students (on average 3 per class) are recognized for demonstrang one of the aforemenoned character terms. Students are given a cerficate as well as a hand-wrien or typed leer from their teacher. These students get their name on the bullen board in the foyer each term as well. Finally, we always recognize all the students who go the extra mile to make ATMS a great school. These include our Student Service Crew, Announcements team, Athlecs, WEB, Leadership, Public Speaking winners, Math Contest winners, and anything else the fits the mold. In the future the teachers at ATMS will be looking at adding an Academic award to honour our high achieving students. We will be sure to spread the news when a decision has been made on the parameters of the award. Congratulaons to all of our hardworking students for their achievements in Term II. Tradional Tenet Review At the beginning of the school year, ATMS staff began the process of reviewing our "Ten Tenets of Tradional." To help us begin, we invited the admin from both King Tradional, South Poplar and Auguston, and any staff they could bring, to one of our staff meengs where we took a close look at our Tenets with a crical eye and asked "Is this what we do? Is this what we believe? Does this belong on the walls of our school?" Months later, as Spring Break approaches, the staff is close to sharing our work with PAC and parents. What we will share is a draſt of a new vision of the Tenets, which will highlight a reducon of the Tenets from 10 to 4 and a possible name change from Tenets to Pillars. Much is yet to be done, however, before this process will end. Parents and students will also have input as we flush out the details of each Tenet / Pillar and confirm that 4 is the best representaon of our high standards and priories. Please keep your eye out for your opportunity to contribute to the conversaon! We are very excited to move forward with a new message to parents and students that communicates the strengths of ATMS and why we are an excellent choice for families.

Term II Recognition Assembly

We had a lot to celebrate at the Term 2 Recognition Assembly! This is a time

when we get to acknowledge and celebrate the successes, dedication and

hard work seen in and around ATMS during the second term. We have such

an amazing community of students at ATMS and encourage each of them to

continue to be the best they can be, and set some goals for the final term this year.

We would like to especially acknowledge our Students of Character this term. The students on the next page were chosen for

being model citizens of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Courage, Empathy and Service.

Effort Roll - At ATMS we value student effort greatly and feel this is an employable, lifelong skill. Students who achieve Effort Roll also receive a certificate and have their names posted on the bulletin board in the school foyer. It is imperative to note that ALL students can achieve this honour. Students of Character - Another focus of ATMS is to encourage all students to show character. ATMS has adopted six character terms that we actively encourage students to demonstrate, they are: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Courage, Empathy, and Service. A total of 6 students per pod of 60 students (on average 3 per class) are recognized for demonstrating one of the aforementioned character terms. Students are given a certificate as well as a hand-written or typed letter from their teacher. These students get their name on the bulletin board in the foyer each term as well.

Finally, we always recognize all the students who go the extra mile to make ATMS a great school. These include our Student Service Crew, Announcements team, Athletics, WEB, Leadership, Public Speaking winners, Math Contest winners, and anything else the fits the mold. In the future the teachers at ATMS will be looking at adding an Academic award to honour our high achieving students. We will be sure to spread the news when a decision has been made on the parameters of the award. Congratulations to all of our hardworking students for their achievements in Term II.

Traditional Tenet Review

At the beginning of the school year, ATMS staff began the process of reviewing our "Ten Tenets of Traditional." To help us begin, we invited the admin from both King Traditional, South Poplar and Auguston, and any staff they could bring, to one of our staff meetings where we took a close look at our Tenets with a critical eye and asked "Is this what we do? Is this what we believe? Does this belong on the walls of our school?" Months later, as Spring Break approaches, the staff is close to sharing our work with PAC and parents. What we will share is a draft of a new vision of the Tenets, which will highlight a reduction of the Tenets from 10 to 4 and a possible name change from Tenets to Pillars. Much is yet to be done, however, before this process will end. Parents and students will also have input as we flush out the details of each Tenet / Pillar and confirm that 4 is the best representation of our high standards and priorities. Please keep your eye out for your opportunity to contribute to the conversation! We are very excited to move forward with a new message to parents and students that communicates the strengths of ATMS and why we are an excellent choice for families.
