    Professor of Preaching and Worship

    at Saint Paul School of Theology. He

    will bring us a message from Acts 10

    entitled, “Pentecost: the Sequel.” All

    Missouri UMC pastors will be out of

    town at Missouri Annual Conference.

    Senior Recognition Sunday-Graduates!

    Come and be recognized in the 8:50 or

    11am service. We will have a reception

    in the Connector at 10am to honor you.

    It’s also Donut Sunday in Cornerstone

    Coffee Shop!

    Next Sunday, June 12During worship services at 8am,

    8:50am & 11am, Rev. Trista Soendker

    Nicholson will bring us a message “God

    of Surprises” from I Samuel 16:1, 10-13.

    This will be her last Sunday at Missouri

    UMC. The congregation will celebrate

    her ministries with a reception in her

    honor in the Connector from 10-11am.

    Please join us during this time to

    celebrate with Trista and her family

    as they begin the next journey in

    her ministries at Red Bridge UMC in

    Kansas City. Trista has requested that

    gifts be made in her honor to support

    scholarships for missions to Haiti. Gifts

    may be left at the church ofce, left

    in the offering plate with a memo

    stating the purpose, or brought to the

    celebration on June 12.

    Christmas in July at MUMC on July 14Volunteers are needed to donate food and help serve at the Annual Christmas

    in July Dinner to be held this July 14th at our church. This dinner provides food

    for low income families between 5:30- and 7:00 pm that day. Santa will visit

    and children will be entertained with craft activities. Donations of children’sactivity books,crayons, and cash are also welcomed. If you would like to be

    involved, please contact Suzanne McDavid at 474-4416 or Pat Martin at 445-

    5603, or e-mail them at [email protected], [email protected]. This is

    the 25th year MUMC will host this event for Voluntary Action Center!

    Welcome New Pastor on June 26Please help us welcome Rev. Joan DeBoe, who was appointed to the clergy

    team at Missouri United Methodist Church in March. She will be joining the

    church family as Pastor of Worship and Administration, and will worship with

    us in that capacity beginning June 26.

    Many of you already know Joan as a part of our extended family. Joan

    currently serves as pastor at New Bloomeld UMC, as well as fullling theduties of assistant treasurer at the conference ofce. Joan grew up in

    Memphis, Missouri, and is a lifelong United Methodist. Her rst appointment

    was at New Bloomeld in 2013 as a lay pastor, and she became a licensed local

    pastor in 2014.

    Joan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Tennessee

    Wesleyan College in Athens, TN, and an MBA from Columbia College. She is

    married to husband David, and they have three adult children, all of whom

    live in Missouri. Joan held membership at MUMC from 2002-2012, before

    accepting the appointment at New Bloomeld.
