Material DescriptionAlSi10Mg is an age-hardening cast aluminum alloy with good hardness, strength and dynamic toughness. It is traditionally used as a casting alloy. Powder made from AlSi10Mg is commonly used in additive manufacturing, due to the high corrosion resistance, low density and high mechanical strength of the final components. Additive manufacturing components require less thermal post- processing than cast components. Typical applications are found in the aerospace and automotive industries.
■■ Good processability■■ High strength■■ Good mech. properties for dynamic loads
