As Vietnam gets closer to become integrated with the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015, the need for the supporting industry to be more competitive has become more important. Currently, Vietnam ranks number one in ASEAN for manufacturing motorcycles for local consumption and 90% of parts used are produced locally. However, most of the investors of these factories are owned by joint-ventures as the top motorcycle brands here are Honda and Yamaha, thus the demand for new machinery with higher technology will keep increasing to raise the product quality to the higher standard.

Trong bối cảnh Việt Nam ngày càng tiến gần đến thời điểm hội nhập vào Cộng đồng kinh tế ASEAN năm 2015, nhu cầu phát triển các ngành công nghiệp hỗ trợ để tăng cường năng lực cạnh tranh ngày càng trở nên quan trọng và ngày càng có nhiều các nhà máy mới được các nhà sản xuất toàn cầu thành lập tại Việt Nam.
