MetaServ 3000 FeaturesThe MetaServ 3000 family offers a combination of performance,economy and reliability for mostmicrostructural analysis applications.Designed for manual grinding andpolishing, as well as for semi-automatic operation when combined with a Vector LC PowerHead.
The MetaServ 3000 features an infinitely variable speed control of50 to 500 rpm. Select between singleor dual platen wheels and between 8 (203mm), 10 (254mm) or 12(305mm) diameters. A built-in bowlwash and drain flushes out particlesand minimizes build-up of grinding-polishing debris. The adjustablewater flow nozzle can be positioned
anywhere over the platen and theflow control valve governs theamount of water dispensed. Theincluded aluminum platen(s) provide a flat, hard grinding-polishing surface for any media. Amolded protective housing providescorrosion and impact-resistance. Thereplaceable bowl splash guard prevents accidental spraying andcan be removed for easy platenchanging.
The easy-to use front control panel consists of water on/off, platenon/off, and variable speed controlknob. A bright LED indictor displayswhen power is on. Safety featuresinclude built-in circuit protectionand low voltage controls.
Vector LC FeaturesThe Vector LC Power Head upgradesthe MetaServ Grinder-Polishers frommanual into semi-automatic operation, increasing specimen consistency.
The Vector LC Power Head is an easyto operate, economical power headwith basic features for low volumeapplications. Single sample pressureprepares one to four samples andallows pressure to be tailored foreach sample. It has mechanical sample loading and head position-ing which does not require the useof air pressure. The front controlpanel features simple to operateanalog controls including an analogpressure setting display and powerswitch.
The Vector LC Power Head is an economical option to convert anyMetaServ 3000 Grinder-Polisher into a semi-automatic single forcepreparation system.
The MetaServ 3000, without Vector LC Power Head, is designed formanual grinding-polishing applications.
The Vector LC Power Head features mechanical single samplepreparation from one to four samples.
The MetaServ 3000 front panel feature Water On/Off Control, Platen On/Off Control, Variable Platen Speed RPM Control and a green LED Power On Indicator.
The Vector LC front panel features an On/Off PowerSwitch and a Pressure Display Setting.
The power head is easily moved to the side or positioned on theplaten edge and locked in place.
Plain and PSA backed discs are available for MetaServ3000 Grinder-Polishers.
A protective bowl lid(s) keeps platens surfaces dust and contaminate free when not in use.
Single force specimen holders are available for use with 1 - 122 (25mm - 40mm) diameter samples.
The Desiccator Storage Cabinet (20-1445) provides a moisture free storage environment for mounted specimens.
TechMet tables and furniture (16-1498 shown) providesturdy and decorative areas for placement of theMetaServ 3000 and other Buehler laboratory equipment.
MetaDi Diamond Suspensions and pastes offer superiorpolishing results and are available in a variety of diamondsizes.
