Questions and Answers…Q: Is Metro installing gates at all 24 intersections?A: No. We are evaluating gates at “up to” 24 intersections, but may do less.
Q: Why did Metro select 3rd & Civic Center Way and 3rd & La Verne for initial installations?A: Impacts on property and traffic are minimized at these locations and they can be done without an “EIR” study.
Q: Why not start with Mednik or Rowan where there are schools located next to the intersections?A: Traffic impacts at these locations would require and EIR study and we are sensitive to noise levels at Rowan due to the Church. We are proposing to install traffic warning lights (“Runway lights”) as demonstrations at these
intersections.
