A new webpage will soon highlight the ways the community can Eat at local restaurants, Shop at local retail stores and Play at local destinations.

Fairfax Station Mitigation
• Paving work is scheduled to occur on Saturdays
• After 11pm activities are monitored and adjustments are made to the sound blankets at the source to stay below allowable noise levels
– Alternatively, the type of construction activity is changed to reduce noise levels

Tree Removal and Relocation
• Estimate 101 trees need to be removed – 12 at Western Station Tie-in
– 37 at La Brea Station
– 52 at Fairfax Station
• Relocation can be difficult due to condition, cost, timing, size
• Metro has reached out to 30 organizations to gauge interest
– Tree People, Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, Griffith Park
• Will relocate some trees to Crenshaw Yard

Tree Removal Process City of Los Angeles
• Metro will submit tree removal application to Urban Forestry Division (UFD)
• 30-day posting period to allow for public comment – Tree removal notification system:

• UFD will submit report to Board of Public Works for approval; public meeting held
• Trees will be removed incrementally based on construction phasing

Landscape Plan Overview
