• Our current working definition – subject to modification .

– Dual Optical Metropolitan Network Rings utilizing 63 miles of IRU/lease/University fiber.

– 10 Cisco 15454 Dense Wave Division Multiplexing nodes.

– Co-location in the Rochester downtown GigaPOP.

– Connects University Resources to Campus and the Internet in collaboration with Rochester Institute of Technology.

enhance off-site connectivity. • Provision bandwidth without vendor

interaction, expense and time -- flexibility.• Significant bandwidth potential -- you can

do a lot with two fibers and we have a spare pair as well.
